GED anon here. What are some decent jobs I can get that require no college education? Currently making $12/h thinking of saving for college to go get a degree in either computer engineering or aerospace engineering, or is college just a meme in general. Also will buy your shilled shit coins if I actually get decent advice off /biz/

I graduated college 6 years ago and I have never once used my degree. Honestly, I think I forgot everything already. I'm still a wagecuck.

both of you are absolutely screwed unless you're willing to risk your freedom

Do you already know enough about a certain subject? If you do start your own business and don't look back. If not some stressful but good money is going military then convert into being an air traffic controller.

What degree? I feel I would enjoy aerospace engineering more, but would be safer getting a job in the computer field

Well, define decent. Hard but well paying? Easy? You could be an underwater welder with some training(a but of a meme, but still). How was the GED for you? I got mine last week.

Thought about starting a business but don't want to do anything unless it's an idea I'm comfortable with. Also thought about looking to help startups and then it's their money on the line

Went in for a pre-test to see what I needed to study. I passed the pre-test and they just had me take the GED the same day. My best scores were in math and science(exelled in math), didn't do as well in reading

And I'm seriously considering the underwater welding meme. If I die then big whoop, I don't have to pay bills anymore

Good for you. I excelled in reading, but my worst was math. Go figure.

Anyway, I do have a bit of somewhat unrelated advice on investing once you decide to start saving for retirement. Read John Bogle's books on index investing. There is also one very easy read called "The Index Card" which you can buy on Amazon. In fact, read that one first. Some of pic related is also quite helpful(sans Karl Marx, lol), but start with what I previously told you.

Essentially, live below your means, invest in low cost index funds, and re-allocate more from stock indices to bond indices as you get closer to retirement.

Max out your 401k(or 403b if you work for the gov) with the company match if possible. Also invest into an IRA(decide if a Roth is better for you) with whatever leftovers you want saved after the 401k/403b.

Just in case anyone is still around, this was a good thread from a while ago on the topic of investing: >>/biz/thread/414930
