Why is everyone in Crypto so fucking optimistic in the longterm. Even though we are in a bad bear market - everyone draws the parallels to the dot-com bubble and therefore thinks Crypto will eventually succeed in the future. I really doubt the consensus mainstream opinion was optimistic about the internet between 1990-2000 only very few that saw the potential. How often do you just see this random statement "Don't sell before 2022-2025" or something similar? Like all and everyone thinks today Crypto succeeding is written in the stone.

Bitcoin is literally becoming a bank right before everyone eyes. Idk why satoshi tried to brand it as a currency when it's best fit to serve as a decentralized bank. Anyone choosing to use it as such should be doing so as a precaution and way to avoid the old "sorry our bank doesnt actually have your money". Meaning you shouldn't be placing your wealth in the hands of a fucking HDD, hence the other methods of securing your account. The poor and stupid will always complain and cry that their mistakes are not their fault. Bitcoin doesnt need them.

most people don't use physical money now. They have an account on a database at the bank with a numerical value that decreases when you use a pin card or app or put the number in to pay for something online and for most working people it increases via direct deposit. Who the fuck still uses cash? Crypto is the same thing except it can take the banks out of the equation

Listen here you dumbfuck, the current consensus mainstream is that crypto WILL FAIL, not succeed. Most people out there think crypto won't amount to much in the future, and a considerate amount still don't even know what's it's about.
The reason most people in crypto (like the ones in this specific board) think it will eventually go up in the long term is because, and pay attention, because they are people who FUCKING HOLD CRYPTO, of course they are part of the minority who thinks it will succeed. Otherwise, why would they have bought it and still participate in these discussions in places like this? Even most of the ones who bought it and gave up on it already left this place long ago. Why would they waste their time here?
Holy shit, why is this board so low IQ that it needs common sense like that explicitly explained.

No one thinks it's about overthrowing banks. But the idea of combating our crooked financial system is literally in the Bitcoin whitepaper and the reason the blockchain was invented.

I graduated high school in 1999 and can tell you the internet was a big fucking deal. They couldn't get that shit hooked up fast enough during the 4 years I was there. You have to realize that the fringe people who adopt a useful technology first are called "early adopters" for a reason, right? Normies don't give a shit about using physical money vs digital money vs whatever. They eat what they're told to. When all of the corporations and banks in the world operate with crypto because it's saving them trillions of dollars, do you think the normies are going to revolt with "muh physical money" as their slogan? YOU are the normie. Fuck off.

I had to pay 10% to transfer 1k from a bank to a different one, i was just testing, and it tooks 2 days to confirm.
While i moved 10k from a btc wallet to another with 12 minutes and paid a fee of 3$ by the time, oh, and it was on a Saturday

For me the main promise of crypto is that it really can destory the federal reserve and eventually the state itself. I'm minimizing my participation in the old economy and putting all my resources into the crypto economy. If I'm wrong in a few years, I can always go back to an unfufilling life of wage slavery, but if I'm right, not only am I obscenely wealthy, but I also helped bring about a new world that's free of coercive influence.

It's the future of finance but unfortunately it will most likely be subverted by the powers that be and controlled just like everything else. It will be even more controlled than the current monetary system. It will be the bankers' wet dream come true with a controlled crypto economy, unless we stop them.
