It's doubtful. The IRS levys a bartering tax on Bitcoin transactions so bookkeeping for small purchases would be a disaster. The government dosen't want their money monopoly being broken by some ones and zeros. They'll ban crypto if it gains enough adoption as money. Payment apps are too clunky. You have to worry about your phone having battery in order for it to function. Cash is impossible to replace because it's tangible. A 6 year old buying school lunch can use it. Anybody can use it. Not everybody can use crypto. It'll never catch on.
