As someone with no skin in the game, Etherum does make a lot of sense. Not just the bullrun it had last year, but the actual tech behind it too. It can run laps around bitcoin when it comes to transaction times and such.

OP, why do you think ETH is the best and what do you think of the whole ETH vs. ETH Classic thing, where does that factor in?

No, that's false propaganda from bitcoin maximalists.
Eth's blockchain is about 48GB (I checked few weeks ago).
Node database that _contains_ the blockchain and result of its execution is 92GB now. That's a full node.
Archival node contains data that's only needed for block explorer and similar. Bitcoin doesn't even have that node and old data is _always_ deleted.

that's why the price of ETH will probably not grow all that much in the future, even if the Ethereum network gains widespread adoption. It was meant to power the network as gas, not for people to use it as a store of value, which they have. It is also why Vitalik said that ETH was overvalued at $7, since he never intended it to fulfill such a function.

That doesn't mean that the platform doesn't need a store of value, though. 0xBTC, the first pure mined PoW token, was created to fill this exact role. There was no premine or ICO, it's all community-backed. Just last week the community raised $350 to conduct the first marketing campaign in the token's history so that more people could see that an ERC20 doesn't necessarily have to start out as a centralized shitcoin. If you believe in the Ethereum platform, then it would be wise to invest in 0xBitcoin.

I'd genuinely like to know how you could agree with the first paragraph, but not the second. If you think that the Ethereum network will still be widely used, yet the price of ETH itself will go down, then the wealth obviously has to migrate elsewhere on the network. In my opinion, the obvious place for it to go would be a pure mined asset that is not controlled by any central party. It appears you have a different opinion, so if there's a better store of value on the network, then I'd be delighted to know what it is.

All of you faggots are hilarious. It's all so obvious isn't it. You missed the boat on Bitcoin, now you have to sit around convincing yourselves that you are going to make money from crypto.

Too fucking late. You're never making it.

Ethereum is a bloated sack of shit, and even if it works, it's a solution for a problem that nobody has. The financial services industry will be making their own platforms for smart contracts because they can, hence the work that Blythe Masters is doing. Not that this work is of course useful to anybody because all it amounts to is a shared SQL database. You can't make trustless, smart contracts as you still require human input and verification at each end. It's like trying to speed up a car by putting more wheels on it.

Bitcoin is the only useful crypto because it fulfils its one limited purpose of being a fungible digital asset with predictable scarcity, and also the world's first decentralised MMO pump and dump scheme.

All of the shitty little niche cases like 0xBTC are a fucking joke and depend on the naivety and desperation of you faggots who can't face the fact that you missed the easy money train on crypto and now you're all forever poor, sat around chasing dreams like a bunch of burnouts sat around at the local bookmakers betting your last savings on a horse that loses.
