It might be fun and exciting at first but eventually it gets boring, it may take a couple of hours or maybe a week but it DOES get stale. It's way more rewarding to play the game properly and actually earn the money/weapons.

So untlimatley I just stay at home. It kind of sucks as all my friends still work and you will get bored. I kill my time with Spanish and flying lessons. Without that little structure I would feel very depressed.

I've "made it" during the bull run in Dec 2017. Decided to quit my job on Nov 2017 until now. 9 months of nothing consistently productive, feels boring as fuck. I have long list of hobbies I'd like to revisit, but during this non-wage time, I have done nothing. Seems like the dullness have been crippling inside me slowly and its spreading very quickly. First 3 months of non-wagie was awesome. After that, I don't feel much passion to do anything anymore, cuz I have what I need to live, why should I bother doing any work. I think a lot of other people want exceptionally secured and passive income at a high level. They don't want to get a lump sum and live off of it, they want to get enough financial assets or passive income that they can sustain simultaneously grow their net worth, live off of "free" money and do anything they want. Even 2.5 mil at 7-8% interest a year would be giving you 200,000 dollars. Throw around 50k back into the account to keep up with a 2% inflation rate. You get 150k minus income taxes (in my area that could put you roughly at 100k). Take another 20-30k a year and slot it into some bonds. Now live off of your 70k. If there is ever a downturn that decreases your 7-8% returns on the market, live off of your savings in the bond market. If there is ever a really good year, depending on your appetite for risk, put more back into the bond market or more back into your stock portfolio.

My 2.5 million would be invested in blue chip dividend stocks and bonds and CDs. I'm only aiming for a 3% return. 7-8% is unsustainable and I do not expect to get it. In fact the 3% gains I'm aiming for hoping to withdraw needs to be closer to 5-6% to keep up with inflation.

Have you considered taxes? Dividends are taxes like income, not capital gains. I'll be in the 28ish% tax bracket so in reality my 75k is closer to 50k. Yes 2.5 mil is a lot but I'm not going at it alone; my girlfriend is red pilled on this topic as well and will be making solid 6 figures in her career. And we do live in an expensive city so we do need a bit more.
