I always think this graph is dumb because it likens things like fucking "air travel" "the telephone" and "electricity" with "tablets" and "social media".

Obviously production lines and adoption of technology worked slower in the past, but things that change society like cars, and electric power must also move slowly.
With Bitcoin, and therefore modern cryptocurrency, it's already been around for ten years with next to no adoption.

Going from a personal computer to an "oh now it's smaller and fits in your pocket" computer is not such a big leap and even less is going from that pocket computer to "oh now it's a bigger version of the pocket computer but it doesn't fit in your pocket".
