How many people think that way?

Kind of. except I took my L. If it's a shitcoin *most of the time* you're not doing yourself a favor by waiting IMO.

I’ll be buying all of their bags on the way up. Selling to break even is ultimate bag holder behavior. Buying from those breaking even on the way up is chad behavior.

How to lose twice.

Buy alts - BTC season comes, alts lose 60% of their btc value - Alt season comes back, you can 3x but instead sell for BTC and ETH as they retract.

This happens every time and no one in the real world is impressed with BTC. Wasteful slow and shitty. Lightning is a shitty idea too.

>> No.10542095

You want to hold alts on the way up and not the way down.

idk they're pretty stupid. if its a bad coin then they should sell their position and get into one with higher chance of gains. if its a good coin that doesn't have to wait a long time until mooning then why sell (unless you found something better).

If eth and btc are better for gains than any coin you are holding and can think about when risk is taken into account, then they should just sell and buy eth and btc.

Investors be emotional.

What I’m trying to understand: Are there many hopeless bag holders who will act like that should they ever break even?
Twitter is too much of a bubble to get an overall picture.

I think it's a pretty stupid position to hold. The reason BTC and ETH are so high is purely because of "they were FIRST" bias.

Also, normies can't even afford a full bitcoin. They are going to brag about $20 gains when BTC shoots up to $20k lol

I'm unironically thinking of dumping my sub and bnty bags at a huge loss. Should i?

i've thought that way from the beginning. i only hold btc/eth/xmr, only played with the shitcoins in december when there was a frenzy. it was pretty obvious to me that most of the alts were going nowhere, because i understood what actually gives crypto value.

I don't know. There's the whole
> You don't lose until you sell
But I think that the people who are up and remember what they had in January have developed a different perspective. And those that are down may have learned something by osmosis anyways. The investing thing I look at it like 2 groups
> Money to keep
> Money to dream
I don't know what's the correct ratio, but you need a bit of both and if part of that money to dream becomes a nightmare then you'll probably stop buying dips before that nightmare becomes everything.

The thing is while we're in technically we're all treading water. I took some Fiat out and I'm putting it back in very slowly. I prefer to have BTC to Fiat but I'm not sure if the world will ever really agree. In other markets there are people that made a lot and 10 years later they have a rope and a chair and they give the chair a gentle tappity tap.

Yeah desu my biggest mistake wasn't not selling the top or anywhere near it when big in fiat profit, it's that I didn't at very least sell to sit tight i BTC.

Would still be comfortably in profit if I'd held BTC but having hodled all the way down with utter shitcoins I'm down like 86%.

>50% btc
>50% alts
>Increase % of alts in a rising market, increase % of btc in a downwards cycle
Then just don't fuck around with shitcoins, don't try to daytrade if you don't know what you're doing.
