A company called Skywirez.
It was a little Internet service provider with like 3 regular employees and 2 sub contracted HR and payroll employees.
I was making 20 an hour there and this morning I got a call saying the company had been acquired by a holding company and 2 of us were let go on the spot. Tomorrow, if you can fucking believe this shit, we actually have a fucking service and install. Then we have to turn in our equipment (Spare billing server, some routers and Ubiquiti devices).
No Severance, no explanation about what happened, but the holding company (I forget it's name) is basically an asset chop shop.

We provided internet to a section of rural Ohio.

So....yeah. I need to get unemployment started and hope that the two recruiters I'm meeting with can get me job interviews. One looks promising, and the pay is better. Downside is I can't sit at home, shitpost on an economics board, and get paid for it.

Just to be clear - I am recommending a straddle (ATM option contracts), not a strangle. I tend to not like buying OTM options (this is a strangle). If you are inclined to do a strangle I would do it for approximately 10%. I do not like recommending OTM option, especially on/smg/ where there are alot of people new to stocks; people tend to get carried away after getting a big win and lose it all (gambling)

Anyways, for a Strangle about 14 & 11.5, call & put, respectively. I personally think the company is an absolute shitfest, doomed, so I think it has a long farther way to fall to 0 than previously.

5g is more important. It's a growth sector (IOT, increasing wireless data dependence in day to day life, emerging data sharing economy, mobility data).
It's also pretty much as fast as fiber. Private customers will get higher speeds via initial 5g offerings than they get through fiber right now (higher than 1gbps).

that said, don't invest in at&t. it won't improve their profits much. rather, invest in companies that will provide the infrastructure for 5g, like cisco, but ideally aim for smaller companies.

you can even invest in suppliers of components of devices that will be used in 5g and IOT, like micron for dram, flash and 3dxpoint, or embedded semi customs companies.

It's pretty easy my man.

My friends and I used to go get slammed at bars every weekend. We'd struggle to find places that had decent food and little wait. Food trucks aren't super common here, I see a few sno cone joints but thats it.

I asked 100 people what they're favorite thing to eat after the club was and about half said breakfast, the other half said taco bell.

So we do cheapo tacos and breakfast food. Or breakfast burritos.

I bought the food truck for like 3 grand from a family friend of a friend. Gave my little brother a crash course on cooking and hired him on.

Our menu is super simple. 5 items.

The menu items use the same basic items for the most part. The food quality isn't important at all since everyone is drunk. We charge about 2 dollars in profits per meal while still being cheap as possible. My Dad has a somewhat shady past so he has connections to everyone in my city. I was able to secure placement of the food truck based on bids from various clubs. Our current club pays us 500 a night to stay in their parking lot. That covers our overhead, so everything after is pure profit.

In terms of management, all I do is make sure everything is clean and stocked. I buy my shit from a local bulk store, and every now and then I go to the location and make sure things are moving smoothly.

I normally pull about 1000 dollars in profit over a weekend.

Snapchat has potential, but everyone seems retarded in the company. I personally think the meme potential of the company is gone. Kylie Jenner tweet about how she doesn't use snapchat and the stock fell 8 percent IIRC. There isn't any other stock that could do that. SNAP is volatile and hasn't had a profit since it started.

However, Snapchat is very popular. Even if people are using it less and less, people my age (22) still use it heavily. Instagram is slowly replacing it but we all saw what happened to Facebook, so if you're betting on "well instragram is better" than your wrong.

There is one thing that you have to be careful about when you adopt this strategy of just buying growth under this premise:
Management is paid in options. It is very likely that they may be investing in order to drive up the price of the stock short medium term anyway anyhow. Right now I'm just trading mid 50s to 62-3 over and over. They spent the better part of the last year putting money back into their business and this next quarter is "supposed" to be good. I imagine when the China shit gets some slack it will peak up again and I will set a stop for 63 or so. It's one of the few stocks I effectively trade up and down. A good earnings like last one could pump it to around 75 but as usual it would just bounce around ten bucks below that fucking around. As long as you take profits and wait for dips it's pretty easy to keep track of at support levels. If you buy in mid 50s just set a stop at like 50 Incase something cataclysmic happens, or don't hold over weekends of your worried. Personally I'm just gonna hold a thousand or so shares for a few months cause I got a good portion when it touched 55.60.

No commissions or fees are a great perk, but I got my sister into trading, so she could learn. She trades too fucking much. It would almost benefit her in the training wheels stage to be limited to like 3 trades a day max. I use robinhood cause I have to trade while driving half the time and it saves like 400-1000 bucks a year. Decide what your time tables are and how you think this all plays out before getting deep. It started to move on ER because positive outlook, but more importantly positive outlook in China as a whole the previous few days. Trump upping the ante means lower Yuan and that means worse conversions for investors who invest in companies paid in that tender.
