checked. but that text at the bottom isn't quite right. BCH forked on August 1, segwit forked later. by a few days/weeks I can't recall

BCH was the 'user activated hard fork' proposed first by Bitmain, planned as a backup in case core faggots backed out of segwit2x, which they did. thank satoshi for BCH, the real bitcoin will always fork off as needed

You're right but let me break it down.

BIP 91 leads to segwit activation.
Segwit activates in late august, but BIP 91 locked in on July 20.

July 20 - BIP 91 set.
July 21 - Trump signs Executive Order on supply chain resiliency
July 22 - Bitcoin Cash announces intentions to fork (fleeing segshit)

Aug 1 - BCH is born.

Out of all the people in the crypto space CSW is the only one to who fits the archetype of the passionate almost crazy builder (INTJ?) - the kind of personality needed to architect something like Bitcoin.
Everyone else just seems like engineers.
Who do you think made it?

Even with the blocksize increases it was only 5 minutes faster than Bitcoin when I made a transaction. And both transactions took atleast 30 minutes to confirm. What a piece of shitchain, I look at the blockexplorer and there had not been a block mined in over an hour!

BCH and BTC are both big piles of shit fighting over a brand thats worth $$$ by talking about their adoption. Yet its most likely that either BTC wins because it has first mover advantage or something completely different wins such as LTC, Nano, Holo, Cardano or something. I would bet my money on Cardano and Holo anytime over BCH for becoming a leader in adoption. BTC and BCH lie constantly all the time. BTC and BCH will both become super centralized, they can't avoid it, no matter what the shills on either side say. Doesn't mean there isn't money to be made in BTC and BCH, but atleast know they're both gigantic fucking liars and only want you to inflate the prices. You got some rich crypto billionaires come together and start their own Bitcoin, each has their own selfish interests to do so. Jihan wants his mining empire and Roger wants to pretend he's saving the world whilst his bank account grows exponentially. I think mr Satoshi Nakamoto is just in it for the attention, cause this man fucking loves it no matter what he says about wanting no publicity.

Not even going to respond to any counter comments cause they're always worthless and filled with subjective ''facts''

5mb...out of 32mb
Nice stress test, but we need to see >50% of miners accepting blocks over 8mb

A month ago someone tried to transact an 8mb block but it was broken into chunks. This implies that it might be more costly for a miner to validate large blocks than was advertised. I mean, if it was simple, wouldn't every miner accept up to 32mb blocks so they get all of the sub cent fees?

unfortunately i dont think mining pools have enabled 32 MB blocks but still have them set to 8

however im sure that if the mempool starts being constantly full of over 8 MB they will switch over since they turn down a lot of money otherwise

i dont expect a single 32 MB block on sep 1 either to be honest

>> No.10524358

>>10523943
This wasn't the stress test. Sept. 1 is the stress test. Also miners are currently not signaling 32mb blocks because they are worried about being orphaned and losing out on a block
