Some alts still have higher lows despite the bearmarket - those could be the winners.
Like zrx, no shilling but look at the chart on the daily and zoom out. Coins that look like that could survive and there are a few like this.

Like he said, both. Some alts will gradually die, while other will hold up better and eventually recover or go higher (probably). I think a bunch won't survive this.

The other thing is whether alts were hugely overvalued still. I worried the excitement for ETH is gone for a while, since it'll be some time before sharding and other stuff is ready. It needs something major to get people hyped again.
