VeChain potential partnership with ItsMe, national level application in Belgium and Luxembourg

*this thread was quickly deleted by Noah on the VeChain subreddit, essentially confirming everything here*

Earlier today this was posted:

From our past knowledge, we know that Sunny Lu met with Alexander De Croo, deputy prime minister of Belgium and Minister of the Digital Agenda back in February

http://datanews.knack.be/ict/nieuws/de-croo-ontmoet-ceo-van-blockchainplatform-vechain-belgie-kan-voortrekkersrol-spelen/article-normal-963677.html

Belgium specifically has been working to digitize the country through the "Digital Belgium" plan which you can read about here http://digitalbelgium.be/en/

This includes digitizing things such as government services and moving the country towards a fully digital economy.

The ItsMe app is a nationally approved application that gives each Belgian citizen a digital ID, and let's them interface with government services, banking, shopping, etc.

Remember that VeChain also has put a lot of effort into being GDPR compliant, which is an EU regulatory process for handling personal data.

https://medium.com/@vechainofficial/how-vechain-is-is-tackling-gdpr-compliance-5431e3d13e0c

In the article above when Sunny met with Alexander De Croo, there was this interesting quote:

De Croo said "In the use of blockchain for authentication possibilities, such as the app itsme , the Minister sees more. He is now thinking of setting up workshops to investigate how blockchain technology can be linked to the federal authentication system. It is also the intention that other blockchain companies are involved."

This goes even further, as on June 1st 2018, ItsMe expanded to Luxembourg. Conveniently, 12 days later a Luxembourg delegation visited the VeChain offices

VeChain would not have put so much effort into being GDPR compliant if they did not have big interest in the EU market.

Belgium's digital initiative is actually a huge initiative of the EU itself, where they are trying to create an overall Europe Digital Single Market.

you have to understand the context

cream's "hint" was merely another piece of the puzzle to augment these connections. None of this is really contingent on him not being a chink scammer.

I did thorough research on this coin, ignoring the shit posted on this board and on reddit. The partnerships are all very real, but it’s too early to tell how much they’re actually worth and how that translates to value for the platform.
