Who uses bots?
can someone enlighten an autist like me?

>> No.10446118

You have to ''code'' in the trading strategy, there's a wiki. If you want to do more complicated stuff use GunBot

what coins were you trading with it?

That's pretty cool. Is there any risk to your coins be stolen if you use a trading bot?

I would like to know. Seems at anytime the perswon who wrote the program could just add a .ini file to the stable release to revert all payment wallets to you unless its API with exchanges then they can do worse with the API

In 2018? Never gonna make it brah

>> No.10447841

>>10446781

the bot you linked doesn't require coding

just settings to adjust, much easier to learn
>>10446272
there is a security risk as most are cloud based. pt v1 is be client sided, less features but secure if you're worried (personally I'm not)

cryptohopper or gunbot? What do you guys think?

>> No.10447979

>>10447881

cryptohopper very hands off. good for brainlets

gunbot more potential but requires a lot more work, also hard

I'm waiting for 3commas bitmex update

youre gonna have to really fine tune your setting to make profitable buys and sells in this market. as long as you dont over reach you can make money using them. Dont allow too many pairs for trading be sure you have enough to cover your current pairs if they need to DCA and dont sink your entire stack into it and you should be fine. this is a slow and steady approach on your end despite the bot running 24/7

>>10448589
what would you recommend in terms of pairs? i assume it's safest to go with the top 10 cryptos but I'm assuming decent daily gains have to be with unknown alts

i left them all enabled because you never know what the flavor of the week is gonna be. Probably easier to pick a few that you just want to avoid and blacklist them. vs only keeping a few that you hope will continually meet your parameters.
the few times i got heavy bags were with nano and some other coin that pumped and the bot continued to buy on the way up and dca'd on the way down. this is why your settings are so crucial. Setting a cooldown timer for your buys at around 30 minutes helps avoid repeat purchases of pump and dumps. and if you find yourself stuck at least it automatically dca you into oblivion.
And know when to cut your losses. Just because it's a bot designed for trading doesnt mean it knows what the fuck its doing. Youre the one who sets it up after all.

I meant *dont let it dca you into oblivion

Ive tried a couple bots.
>shrimpey, im down
>cryptohopper, worked but after the 30 day trial i didnt make enough profit to warrant paying
>own bot, makes like 10 cents a day
