If everything goes according to plan, and you get in decently early, it should be an easy 4~5x.
I'm not too worried about the contract being broken because it's been run through on the test net. My only real worry is Ethereum block times. One block over 90 seconds and its game over. The creators themselves have estimated it's going to last a day or two max before there's a block over 90 seconds and the whole thing cashes out. So we could all get boned by a 90+ second block 8 minutes in.

I looked at a few guides but I had problems with the two I tried and ended up having to figure it out on my own.
basically you:
download/install Parity 1.11.7 (several people, me included, are having problems with 2.0 locking up while synching)
Run from cmd with parity.exe --jsonrpc-cors all (metamask wouldnt connect without the jsonrpc flag)
click the network in metamask and select the localhost option

You'd better have some quick internet to to this at this point though, Parity's going to download about 30GB of chain.

Your other option is https://quiknode.io..
I haven't tried it but others have said you can get a node up in about 10 minutes.

It's definitely a good idea to find a way around Metamask/Infura nodes for this, they always go down during big ICOs or contract launches.

Sounds like if too much ETH goes in on the ICO, you won't make your money back.
My best guess is the ICO doesn't give out dividends, so if the pot doesnt ~3X after the ICO you won't break even.
What i'm really not sure about is the other part of the El Farol bar problem, how does the side that doesn't get in on the ICO profit.
Obviously there's the pot, but that only benefits the last buyer. If they're basing it around the El Farol bar, everyone in the minority should benefit. If I had to guess, the side (ICO keys/after ICO keys) that has less total eth, is going to win big some how.
