Because segwit essentially doubled the blocksize, more exchanges are batching transactions, and wallets are trying to estimate fees better.

A logical target for BTC is $11,500, the Mar 2018 high and the level at which the parabolic advance was violated in Jan 2018.

exchanges batching transactions sounds like an added problem of more time per transaction, not a solution that would entice the dumb money to be impressed and spend more with their blazing fast internet money. how does that help?

They crash harder in sats and then at some point go on their own bull runs. Then December and January happens and alts crash again. Just hold bitcoin.

>This asset is so great, people should be getting rid of it faster! That will make it's value go UP.

Bitcoin isn't a great currency right now for better reasons than supposedly slow/expensive txns (which are about 10-20 cents median right now). It is volatile and people don't want to spend it now. They want to spend it SOME DAY in the future when its even more valuable and when spending makes sense.

If you look at the median txn chart I linked, you can see a drastic change after the high fees in December. Fees are going to continue rising, but at a new (slower) rate and LN will be developed (it will) which will offload even more spending-oriented txns, and further reduce the rate of txn fee increase. But you must understand, the fees are going to go up - they have to one day replace the coinbase inflation subsidy as a reward to miners. Fees will one day be relatively astronomical and that's how it has to be.

I will read this thank you. i need time as i am an idiot.

i still don't think it's beneficial long term that btc is not fun to spend but better to hold. if you can't use it willingly and quickly, don't you lose autonomy over it mentally, even though it's the most autonomous monetary system ever devised, at it's point of creation? it's revolutionary and i love it, but i'm not seeing why that will convince people 5 years from now to care. at that point, btc will have 6 years more history than the rest of the big players, which will have plenty of history of immutability themselves. something next year will have less but it will still have immutability. that's the biggest point right? why would a few extra years matter? now it does...

It's already too late. If you haven't exposed everything you are willing to lose into crypto with at least 80% towards BTC, then it's already too late.

I'd recommend reading the article because it answers some of those questions. Also, Lightning Network is being developed which will allow micro-fee txns. Fractions of a penny.

This high fee situation was exacerbated by politics, but it should be temporary (as pertains to spending txns, which will be raised to second layers like LN). The article explains some of that.

The actual Bitcoin Blockchain is goin to become a settlement layer for high-powered txns not small ones. You buying a coffee doesn't have to be on the blockchain. If the blocksize becomes to memory intensive, then the chain becomes too large to upload and download in the ten minute block window and therefore only datacenters can run full nodes, which reduces decentralization and exposes the network to fragmentation.

This is wrong. We know this bull is a fake out and in August it will be delayed or cancelled. Once we take a huge dive back down to 6200 that is when the Kikes start buying some again.
