if you don't have STEM skills, yes you'll need it to find a job

Major is in STEM. Was considering the minor since ultimately I don't want to be a wagecuck past 35.

it's still a good idea if you want to manage eventually, or you fall short in your STEM career. the pay for managers running teams of developers and engineers is easily 100-200k in average COL areas. if you do it cheaply or without delaying graduation why not. if you're confident in your career path and taking it would be disruptive, probably not a good choice.

Sounds like good advice, thanks /biz/-friend

it doesn't really matter, nothing you will learn in college will apply to the real world. be it business or stem. the very best are self-taught.

it really depends on where you go and how quickly you want to move up. high level corporate jobs will require a masters in your discipline or MBA if you don't have 20 yrs of relevant industry experience to make up for it. if you want to break 200k while waging in your 30s you really need the degrees to qualify for it.

Depends on if you really need it for what you want to do anon. I would warn you though, you're going to spend a lot of time being shilled on social justice and how businesses nowadays are too cucked to dare risk accidentally offending someone.
