What's your strategy if you "make it" in crypto?

>How much you take out
>How much you put into ETFs via InteractiveBrokers or some other platform like that
>How much in Bonds
>How much in REITs / Real Estate Mutual Funds

Let's hear your reasoning?
Like, imagine all you have suddenly moons to 1 million or 10 million USD or whatever is your target. What next?

Logically you'd want to diversify it in a portfolio of assets that do not CORRELATE with each other.

Slowly take out $500k.
>200k pay off house
>150k buy condo in japan
>250k spending money, taxes, use to start up web projects

>> No.10323980

Personally I am thinking of taking 50% out of bitcoin if I hit my target... I don't like gold, so I would split it between stock index funds and REITs, with a focus on REITs

I think being in real estate fund should be a good diversification as I think stocks and crypto correlate more. (As for directly owning property, I don't like the idea... too much hassle.)

Thoughts?

>150k buy condo in japan
You know 150k buys ultra small room there?
Also it's almost 100% that Japan will have a massive earthquake in next decades, more massive than the last Tofuku one.

Not sure if it's the best place to own apartments, at least as an investment.

if I lived in the US, 95% in 28-day T-bills
5% gold

I still have to work out the details but the general ideas is the older I become, the more exposure to bonds I will have, to mitigate risk. This might change if I manage to raise a decent kid, no sense in stop taking risk if someone I care about would benefit from the reward

I'd leave at leave at least 50% of total net worth in bitcoin even if my net worth was 100million usd. How crazy am I?

It's just that if you really believe in the tech behind this, what could be better than sound money backed by math?

Working my way to 10btc without trading. If btc goes to 250k I rent an apt in a state in the US that does not pay capital gains...cash out half. The use the cash to buy a few acres and build a house. Somewhere slightly off the beaten path but not too far. Live there and work from home.

purchase asset at a low price when awareness is low
set staged sell prices and dates so that i dont fall prey to emotional trading
sit back and improve the rest of my life while my money works hard making me rich

like all successful investors...thats what you do too, right anon?

I seen a condo in Sapporo for around $100k that seemed nice enough for a vacation home but its more of just a passing thought. Id just want to live there for a bit until I can learn more Japanese as one of my life goals is a second language. I stayed in Tokyo for ~2 months and want to go back next year for ~3 months as I can work remotely. Id probably spend 100k traveling more than buying a vacation property as who knows if Id like somewhere else better. I just like the cold.

I have one rental property locally, tried managing myself for ~2 years, learned a lot but it sucked. Best decision was to hand it off to a property management company, get paid regularly each month and am not on call for anything except for approval of big issues, leaks into unit below mine etc. I def like real estate over stocks.

Is there any reason not to invest long term in stocks? It has the best profitability out of any other option and the high volatility averages out along the years.

I would wait until I've had my money in for at least a year, then I would only have to pay a 15% capital gains tax. Then , I could basically do whatever I want with it.

But what about passive income so we can quit work?
I'd buy an apartment building in a big city.
There's also master nodes?

>There's also master nodes?
Those are a meme. It's a fad, it won't last.
Rent-collecting is shit, it's fundamentally disgusting.
People will find ways around it.

>I'd buy an apartment building in a big city.
I'm interested in that... what do you think that entails? I'd want investments that do not require me to do anything... that's why I love HODLing... if you own a building, do people constantly nag you? I hate people and dealing with them. That's why I'm in crypto and doing so well in it.

This kind of rent-collecting for blockchain is shit, it's fundamentally disgusting and doesn't make sense. People will not eternally pay you money just for having staked some tokens.
People will find ways around it, ie. same system without masternodes.

Make sure you have enough coming in to afford the taxes/maintenance costs. Otherwise you'll go broke pretty fast.

You can pay a property manager to handle all the work, sometimes this will eat all your profits though
