It depends on what you believe.
If you believe blockchain will see mainstream adoption and it will be integrated in many aspects of our society, ARK is the logical choice because it will provide the best tools and the best UX to facilitate this adoption.

If you believe blockchain is just a fad and it will never see mainstream use, ARK should be of no interest to you.

I also have a feeling that you are not actually interested in the reasons why people hold ARK, but instead this is some shitty attempt at FUD disguised as a question, so KYS.

ark is simply the best built.
its fast its easy.
no synching.

V2.0 is quality, some teething issues with backcompatiblity with V1.0 but what is possible and how its structured is considered top.
The team has been doing lots this year, lots of events, hackathons, government and university meetings, all while coding the updated core. Its realeased, just devnet testing it currently.
I'll repeat V2.0 is here, it is being tested, the core update is practically finished.
The team have acknowledged it took a little longer than expected and accept that they need more F/T developers on board. So they're hiring. I think for v2.0 it was a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. Sourcing and hiring devs then getting them up to speed and coding, whilst integrating with the team would have arguably been more of a challenge and time consuming than just cracking on with the core update.
