How in fuck is this an investment? Regency furniture is already costly, ditto Art Deco furniture. Victorian arts & crafts furniture less so now, which means stealth phase if you are prepared to wait. If you really want to make money off wooden furniture, go arts and crafts

Unironically yes, if you know what you're buying, and are talking about the second hand/antique market.

I used to flip tables and chairs, if you know your market it can work well. For instance, I'd buy a solid timber table, paint the legs white then sand/distress them so they resemble the "French chic shabby" look.
It was in style for a while in New Zealand, could pick up a table for $100 and flip it for $3-400.

Chairs are even more profitable if you get a set of six, look for whats popular in your local market.

if you want furtniture as an investment i suggest you goto see whats selling for what on auction houses like christies. OH and any furniture you buy that quality from an auction house SHOULD BE treated like a work of art...meaning you dont use it.
