Should I repay my debts or leave the country?

>owe $30k unsecured cc debt
>stopped paying 2.5 years ago when i lost my job
>recently got a job paying $72k/yr

Should I spend a year paying off this debt? Its no longer with the original creditor and now with debt collectors and law offices. In 6 months the statue of limitation will be up and I can no longer be sued for the debt. I got a letter from 2 saying they are planning to sue me soon and demanding 90% of the debt paid back immediately.

Or should I leave the country and go on a 6-12 month vacation, working remotely (my job is remote work paid by a foreign company), and return after the statute of limitation is up saving myself ~$30k.

My good goy score is already ruined from this. I own a house and they can put a lien on it but my state does not allow them to collect unless I own over $xxx,xxx in equity. So I could sell the house or rent it out. If a lien is put on it, it would last 10 years and then expire because I wont own enough equity to allow siezing. They could technically sieze my bank account but Im not too concerned about it. I was suggested that if they cant serve me, they might not get a judgement against me. But even if they do there are lots of rules for what they can try to take. If I didnt own a house Id probably have left last year.
