Semi-Babby tier anon here, I've gone through everything in the OP and have a good grasp of the fundamentals, but not sure where to go now. I've been reading just about everything on Investopedia for the last week or so, but I'm not exactly sure what stuff is important and what's not.

At this point I'm having trouble with applying most of this practically, like forming a bias on the market, building a strategy, figuring out entry/exit points, etc. Should I be focusing more on getting technical analysis and charting down? so I'd have to cash out on coinbase, then use the $$$ I get to repurchase with robinhood

im tempted to do it, but im not sure i want to taint my stock profits with the massive crypto losses

plus thats another chunk of money given to coinbase for free, which kinda defeats the purpose of moving them over (in the short term anyways)

ive made consistent gains with stocks, while crypto has been constant losses

Should I just dump JD at this point and take a 2.5%-3% loss? I know it's a Chinese stock that's taking a beating from this trade war crap but I don't see it being affected by the trade war too much considering it's an e-commerce company that mainly serves China, they don't have any presence in the US to speak of. The only thing that will affect them is going to be Chinese tariffs on US-made goods that they're selling on their platform.

All this leaking of private / corporate / government conversations is kinda bullshit. He was talking to a PR / damage control firm trying to avoid another PR nightmare like what happened when he pulled his NFL endorsements due to how the NFL was handling the player's protesting. He mentioned that "back in the day", Col. Sanders routinely referred to black people as niggers and no one even batted an eye, it was more of a comment on how different the times are now than a racial slur.

/v/ brainlet who has just started trading on Degiro here. I always wanted to learn more about the Stock Market but, being a Europoor, never had found a decent platform to do so from the net. Then I read on Degiro on /biz/, so thanks.

Ok time for the brainlet question: there is a company I'm interested in and I'd like to buy 10 stocks of theirs (I'm not investing much since I'm just "learning" the ropes). They are traded both on the Stockholm market and Frankfurt. Stockholm is in crones and since my savings are in EUR I went for the Frankfurt one. I placed a limit order 4 hours ago but the site still hasn't finalized it. The stock value was about 19.53 (more or less), I placed the limit at 20. Now the value is 20.52 (more or less).
The fuck happened? Why didn't the site buy the stocks? Volume is incredibly low (49) but since the price has changed some trading must have happened, right? I can't even see my bidon other platforms.

Sorry for the idiotic question, feel free to insult away

I wasn't saying that the leak is really going to affect their share price or anything, I was just commenting on how all these leaks are getting way out of hand here in the US. It's like there are no private conversations anymore if you're in a business meeting or having some sort of correspondence between government officials or even closed door meetings between foreign diplomats. "Private conversations" are no longer private at all. I don't see how you're supposed to conduct any sort of business or run a government like this.

okay well

when you say 'the stock value was 19.53'
I assume this means the last traded price

what is more important is where was the bid/ask

if the ask was above $20 then your limit buy order at 20 would not get filled
instead you would just be moving the bid up.

nobody sold into you at 20, and instead someone bought the ask at 20.52 and now the price is being shown as 20.52

Well, there are lots of tools available to increase returns at the obvious cost of increasing risk. You can use a leveraged ETF like TQQQ or SPXL, or you can use options (learn up on them first because if you don't know what you're doing you'll lose everything). All any government has to do in order to exist is be able to collect taxes and banks want a cashless society where everyone is chipped and kept recorded on with full 24/7 internet surveillance using their digital foot print. Yup, old testament (and Torah) say to split your assets into thirds
1/3 of your net worth in real estate
1/3 in commodities (stocks for example)
And 1/3 in liquid assets (cash)

Wait, if there are less trips now does that mean I can keep mine, or do I still need to take it off every other post? Sorry for derailing the thread I'm just trying to get some clarification on this matter.

I know they did, but sadly I don't care much about anonymoose chinese paper folding forum peer pressure. I thought he had overcome his mid-trip crisis near the end of the thread. He had a script he was using that Kneepads had made the previous day and I was wanting to compare it to the actual results of today.

IQ may have overcome its downtrend, but I think it correcting down a little today is still on the table for people who would be inclined to FOMO. I've never been good at precise timing myself.

if youre asking yourself, "should i do it anyways just to mess w em lololol?", then fucking dont. youre the reason that trips are hated.

theyre fun sometimes. i have a whole shitload of them. theyre not for every post. /smg/ is unique because were putting money on the line so its helpful to be able to pick people out, but this is still an imageboard. its irrelevant and against this sites overall purpose to trip all the time

neither do i, but the anon/trip argument is enough to literally derail the whole general, given how quickly everyone takes the bait on both sides.

>He had a script he was using that Kneepads had made the previous day and I was wanting to compare it to the actual results of today.
im watching it rn
this was from a few minutes ago. it just called that big drop
i had to get my positions set but here it is.
its working very well
even at 5mins its very accurate.

all it is is a way to compare SPY QQQ and HYG and VIX without scaing issues
its what i was doing before, but rkg ade it slick with the pine editor and now its and indicator

dunno
im still figuring it out

i noticed when indexes and hi yield bonds are moving similarly to one another, things are great. BUY
but when one of the indexes gets over-extended, start paying attention/hedging somewhat. HOLD
if suddenly you start seeing total divergences from indexes in hi yields, SELL

the high yield divergence is the one i originally noticed which called this high vol. rkg is slick w the pine editor in tradingview, so she whipped up something that addresses the scaling issues that come w comparing differently priced things for momentum/price action
