ETH was intended to power the network, not be a currency or store of value. 0xBitcoin is a pure mined cryptocurrency built on ETH so when ETH goes proof of stake, you have a currency token in 0xBitcoin. I think it's using the Bitcoin name that throws you off. It's been done by 10+ forks. An 0xBitcoin Foundation is being built and the discord is very active and open. The team wanted to keep certain details on the low, but are being honest about what is planned including an exchange and Lava Wallet.
