Since crypto is dead for the foreseeable future, how can I (a United States citizen) get good enough at poker to make $1000 a month on average? I've played off and on for years but I can never win consistently at all

You need to dedicate yourself to studying the game. Go read two plus two forums and post hand histories.

To be honest, it's going to be boring and won't have to do with fun poker at all. All you're going to do is to be a bot who follows the same algorithm any other midstakes "pro" follows and play for the deposit bonus of a couple of new fish. You will make money but the effort will be huge, imo when I started this route I quickly saw it wasn't worth it, you really have to love doing this shit.

Probably the best way is to get one of those masterclasses (Dnegs, Polk or bencb) and study hard as fuck day in day out.

you can grind out some tournaments online with a hud/bot and maybe make $1000 a month if you put a shit load of hours into it. Or you could get legitimately good and play in real life, but good luck with that.

twoplustwo is trash depending on your level but microstakes and fullring forums have pretty good stickies to plow through. honestly the hardest part of fulltime poker is the life game and bankroll management versus actually playing at the low to medium stakes live

by life game i mean tilt management, game selection, and patience

unless gambling is your only source of income, you wont take it seriously enough to be consistently profitable.

It doesn't seem worth the effort if the site with the most traffic is Ignition.

It's still good at online mid stakes, unless you're >implying the micro forums are worse

Used to play a ton of poker, kind of getting the itch again. What site is the best for midstakes action? From what I've heard it's all basically bots and crushers now, is there good action anywhere?

Are there actually anyone that can prove that it's just bots and crushers? It's been on everyone's mouth for years now, but never really saw any conclusive evidence.

Yeah that's not gonna work out for you fast.

You gotta know when to hold'em. Know when to fold'em. Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when you're sitting at the table; there'll be time enough for counting when the dealing's done.
