A hostel? You mean for backpackers and stuff?
Seems like overkill to me, what's the plumbing situation like? What is your estimated turn over and length of stay of guests? I haven't been to many hostels but usually they have large communal rec-areas.
Now artist studios, office space... yeah I could see it. A jewellery maker might want smallish space with a window to park all their equipment and a desk. No rec area, just boxes, lick of paint, maybe install some air con if you wanna go up market. No need for a kitchen or anything.
Or maybe I'm talking through my ass, I've never flipped property.

Yeah, maybe with a spa and activities.
So far I'm wondering if flipping a building like this is feasible. I'm pretty sure the plumbing will have to be changed entierely. It's 30 minutes away from a 3 mil city.

>Yeah, maybe with a spa and activities.
I figure to justify the expense you'd need to go upmarket if you do it as a hotel sorta deal, which again is a whole other thing - because not only do you need to think about the costs of renovation and stuff now you need to run that as a viable business rather than just selling it on.

When you say 30 minutes out of the city, do you mean downtown or outskirts. Either way sounds like you should look into a hotel kind of situation - which is a whole complexity in itself because now not only do you need to renovate you need to establish a business and run it.
If it was right in the city you could have done a barebones hostel by just renovating or building a communal bathroom maybe small rec area with sofas near reception. But as I understand it, most people who go backpacking or holidaying on the thrift want to be central - central to public transport, central to the 'sites' of the city, central to working opportunities.

>> No.10215427

30 minutes away from the center by train, 45 minutes by car, roughly. So far I'm really pondering about the costs to renovate such a building and turn it habitable, either for businesses, housing or hotel.

chinese new money is over at your place as no one wants to buy real estate in china because they have their own bubble, and china a shit

the problem is that the size of your housing market is several multitudes larger than your GDP. watch the credit default swap market. if you see that getting really ugly, its past time for your folks to sell their investment properties.

They're burning millions of dollars every month. They're completely broke and relying on credit now, so they're diluting shares and reverse splitting it. Everything that could go wrong has. The best part is that they were a thriving company before they bought moviepass, but this is just how they run shit. They drop constantly, then pump incredibly high like once a year, it's how they jew their investors out of their money. So it's definitely not something you want to hold long, but you can definitely make good money in the mean time. Also, $11 wasn't the top, it was almost $40 at one point. It was really popular on reddit when it got that high, so I'm pretty happy about them losing 99.99% of what they put into it.

IQ has a very small float and is still majority owned by BIDU. Only 10 million of the 713 million share count has been floated to the open market. If/when BIDU sells more shares, it'll be interesting to see if the demand from the market can keep the price up. Lock up period ends Sept 18, 2018... That's a very important timeframe if BIDU decides to offload more shares. Huge risk in my opinion. Looking for exit before that. After I can confirm whether they will dump after lockup or not I will consider re-entry, but as a smaller position.

Hey guys. Chink here. Just wanted to let you guys know that now is the best time to invest in China. The Chinese stock market has been down for 20 years due to heavy corruption and manipulation, with investors buying properties as investments instead.
However with the housing market crash imminent + daddy Xi’s crackdown on corruption all that money is gonna go back into stocks.
Get in there while you can. I suggest companies that collaborate heavily with the government such as tencent.

if you managed to lose money and close out a loss on GBR, thats your fault m8, not anyone elses

it went up 600% over the course of a few days.
then it collapsed back down.
yesterday was a good buy opp imo, so i bought more and sold at 4.20 today. he did too i think. so i guess if you listened to him, you wouldve made money today. but i dont listen to others picks and then blindly do it. i look into it myself, and if it seems good, i pull the trigger.

the difference is that here, when i win or lose, i blame myself. you seem to be all too happy to try to push your poor market timing off onto someone else, and big5 has been acting all bitchy and defensive (which is lulzy, ill admit) so its an easy target.

TL;DR
take responsibility for your own trades, and theres no reason to be salty (unless youre just doing it to fuck w him to get another reaction, then i guess have at it)

I was being a bit dramatic with the house market crash thing. But I do believe stocks are going to skyrocket within the next 10 years. You wouldn’t believe the amount of dirty money flowing out of the country right now and the methods they’re using to launder it. People are scared shitless of the government coming for their assets.
Pessimism about the stock market is also at an all time high. Just ask any Chinese person you know what they think about Chinese stocks and they’ll laugh at you for pissing your money away. I think there’s going to be a huge swing in the attitude towards stocks as Xi continues his corruption purging and the cash is going to come from housing.
Housing is pretty worthless imo because there aren’t a million regulations and committes in China one has to go through. Stuff just gets built fast. Even without a crash there’s laws in place tha heavily dissuade using property as investment. For example you must sell your 2nd property within 5 years of purchase. Couples will even divorce so they can purchase property without heavy penalties. Once people realize how crazy all this is there’s going to be a lot of new clean money flooding stocks.

Whats the deal with SNAP, it was meant to be a daytrade, But it has been bullish

ford here, the dividents add up nicely, the automobile market works on a consistent 7-8 year long cycle, so they tend to never stay at all time highs for long, but they do maintain their value more often it seems

ive bought F when it was below $10, and when it was above $12, (average is $11.11 right now) its a nice stable dividend stock if you dont pay attention to your stocks multiple times a day
still kicking myself about buying FCAU for $5.50, then selling them all later at $11 because its 100% gains, i think they are about $20 right now

>You wouldn’t believe the amount of dirty money flowing out of the country right now and the methods they’re using to launder it. People are scared shitless of the government coming for their assets.

Where did you get this info from. From what i'm seeing they have offered 125 mil shares from the 300 mil outstanding.

So they just kept 50% of the shares to be the boss. Or am i missing something?
