Ico price was far too cheap. Lots of whales with big bags. That's pretty much the absolute only downside of this project. Also, ark gives no dates so it doesn't pump on hype. It's probably one of the only coins out there fairly valued rn

Until a few weeks ago ARK was just a fork of Lisk with a proper DPoS system (no cartel bullshit). The team is top-tier and most ARKies went in on the belief that they will deliver. Unfortunately ARK is literally the anti-hype project and development takes time, hence there was no fuel to keep the price up.

A few weeks ago they released V2 and according to many devs that looked at the code it's one of the most well-made and advanced projects in crypto. Now you see it shilled around here and the smugness is backed by the quality of V2 code. V2 is not live yet due to some compatibility issues with V1.

After V2 (and push button deployable chains) are live, one of two things will happen:
1. it will go parabolic
2. it will slowly grow based on adoption

Long-term ARK bagholders don't give a shit either way, but now with V2 around the corner and some other important updates, the hope is that it will go parabolic and some people think they will make a quick buck. This is why you see it shilled here so much lately.

I'm deluded as they get, but Ark would NEVER be listed on Coinbase. One of the main advantages of Ark is staking and it needs to be on the Ark wallet to stake, which means that people need to move it off Coinbase. They would rather a majority of people leave it on kuckbase so they can "hold" it for them.
