Stocks? Read the Berkshire Hathaway papers. If you're really novice find a book called 'Buffetology' it's super simple layman's explanation of his methodology. I haven't read Alice Schroder's book 'Snowball' but that seems 50-50 biography and study of him but from what I understand you'll see how he's a callous autismo, an idiot savant but how he's turned that into his advantage.

Now this is more big-picture philosophical, and I would recommend it especially if you're familiar with the Austrian school and you want to get a second opinion
