The ducttape caught my eye at first also.
But seeing a heavy duty axle stand and the jack still under the car for added safety on a semi-loose surface, I think he is a pretty cool guy.
The wrenches and sockets look about the stand range of sizes you would go at brakes with and the caliber/pads are already off.

If he had the caliper wrapped up with a short bungee cord hanging from the coil, then I really be impressed. Pretty cool guy bub.
