i fished a lot as a kid up until i was like 13-14 then moved to an area that didn't really have any good fishing spots and so didn't fish for like 14-15 years, just started again a couple years ago and it's really enjoyable/relaxing

I wouldn't go as far as claiming that It's retarded, but it is boring as hell. I spent most of my savings on a decent boat last summer, and while I enjoy cruising, i have no interest in fish(ing).
But maybe that's just a result of working in a maritime insustry. It also allowed me to get a pretty nice set of equipment for next to nothing. Now I'm enjoying the fruits of finally managing to pass as a normie.
