right now link is worth 22 cents.

lets say it succeeds and captures a decent portion of the API economy, each link could be worth around $40-100 dollars. if you but 10,000 link for $2,200 today this investment could potentially go 181x and be worth around $400,000 USD. Not to mention if you decide you'll set up a node and become a third party API provider to earn a passive income. not to mention that smart contracts are on pace to reach adoption by 2020.

if it fails you lose $2,200 dollars which is less than one months salary for most people who make more than $9 per hour.
