Seriously.. leave me alone. I have NEVER been a buy and hold type. And crypto was no different... until I sold and then lost my opportunity to make a LOT more money. "I'm never selling again", I said. "HODL until it's worth it", I said. I got fucking memed. I'm not so far in the hole I am your stereotypical "I just want to break even" top buyer at this point. 8 years of successful stock trading and learning this lesson and I fucking fall for the trap just because "muh crypto new paradigm". Fuck.

Of course I'll mock people for holding. HODL in anything other than a blatant bullmarket is for retards

There's plenty of people who would have lost a lot less if they didn't do shitty trades. Time in the market beats timing the market.

Unless you genuinely believe that your shitcoin will never go down any further, there is literally no reason to HODL. If you did this you fell for a literal meme and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Shit goes up and down, but crypto in particular has thin volumes and swings wildly. You are much better off selling when shit is shaky and buying back in on the upswing. You may miss ~50% of the gains, but you take away nearly all of the risk.

If you HODL, you are stuck. Because you fuckers are all gamblers, you will never ‘take a loss’ because that ‘means you actually lost money’ and you refuse to cut your losses. This is how you get the pathetic sacks getting margin called or losing 80% of their stack. It is totally avoidable - don’t believe the memes, invest like a professional.

If we're talking about how smart people actually trade - nobody just dumps their entire disposable income at a time.

Vast majority of people who made money bought methodologically, say every two weeks or monthly and sold the same way once it passed their selling thresholds.

Hold a nice stash until you have enough for several years' living expense. Then short two years living expense during a bullrun, live on it and expand your knowledge.
If there's a nice 75% to 90% dip, use some of your cash to buy back in or continue to hold, or at the very least invest in other things that can do well while your crypto holdings are down.

Volatility is your friend if you can overcome confusion and grow to a respectable size.
