TCG INVESTMENT THREAD:

This is for discussion of TCG-related investments. Any discussion of gains, speculations, buyouts, or valuation goes here.

Q: But don't you have to do a ton of research on the metagame to reliably invest in TCGs and make gains?

A: No, you don't. All you have to do is Google search Reserved List and stockpile those cards. Or, in the case of Pokemon, any of the pre-Black and White cards. It's a simple Google search away, and easy enough that any normie/chad/soccer mom should be able to make gains off the TCG market with little effort.

It's a huge bubble, and these scalpers have made MTG unplayable for anyone who isn't rich. It's just like the 1990s era of comics.

If if I have a massive binder full of hundreds of pokemon cards (including lots of rare ones, etc) somewhere from ~15 years ago, is that worth anything?

Yet the value of your fiat funbucks keeps going down, while the value of our children's trading cards only goes up. Try again, chad.
