1) This is the FIRST mineable token, an INNOVATION, something new, why is that a con instead of a pro? that's one of the most important thing to this
2) Because it's mineable, it makes distribution much more fair, it's distributed more fair than bitcoin itself

3) 0xBTC's success is strictly correlated to ETH's success, which, in my opinion and opinion of many people see potential in it. Vitalik is a genius, let's be real. Ethereum will soon go PoS, so miners will transition to mine 0xBTC instead, skyrocketing the price.
4)The idea of Bitcoin is fucking great, in theory. Practically however it's slow and expensive.
Satoshi's vision is ETH, fast platform network with smart contracts combined with 0xBitcoin as it's currency. 0xBTC is what bitcoin was supposed to be, decentralized, fast,pure-mined, permissionless, fully transparent, and open to anyone. And, most importantly, it can interact with smart contracts which, without a doubt, will be the future.
5)This is one of my favourite points, is that the contract is finished. It's done. The coin will stay as it is and NO ONE can change it now. It can be only upgraded around it by things like lava wallet (which in my opinion is just a genius concept). So instead of waiting for FRIDAY NEWS (i'm looking at you REQlets) to hope that something good will happen, this coin relies strictly on the market (and ETH to some point), which is very healthy)

I know it's fucking easy to say it's a scam, it's the same as chainlink, that holders are pajeets, but honestly how many of you did the research? This is one of the most safe bets in crypto right now. I'm not trying to shill i'm trying to have a discussion.

Then, basically overnight, a few people introduced thousands of GHs to the network. I had 2 GHs myself, I was consistently getting 1-2% of the rewards of whichever pool I was on. Now, I get 0.1-0.5%.

Is 0xBTC fundamentally useless? Of course. Its as useless as bitcoin gold.

Is it a pajeet scam? No, its not. It just functionally and tragically has a bitmain now.

You can all fix this by mining it and distributing rewards better. It will go back to being more profitable than equihash.

But obviously with no new hashpower, and a few people sucking 20% of the blocks, its going to look and feel like a scam.

TLDR:

Why would you want 0xBTC to be pegged to the price of BTC if it's partially trying to replace legacy BTC entirely?

Then if BTC were to lose adoption (to 0xBTC), as its price went down, 0xBTC would crash too. Old BTC also has its own price mechanics, due to it being entirely different - especially different mining algorithm, meaning different hardware needed to mine it and differing electric costs thus differing ROI's and a separate baseline for the price needed to make mining profitable.

Anyway. wETH is a big subject, but as Vitalik has said in the past, ETH is not meant to be a currency at all. It was only ever meant to be gas. I know a developer IRL who complains about whenever the price of ether moons because it makes it more expensive for him to make his dApp. When I say wrapped ether I'm talking more about an idealized, more general-purpose Currency-On-Ethereum.

Which hasn't existed yet up to this point, and a good reason for that is because mining does a lot to secure a cryptocurrency's value. Well what do you know, 0xBTC is the first genuinely mineable ERC20 token that can fulfill all of those lovely shitcoin functions while still requiring real-world electricity use to mint.

It's a concept that still needs to be fleshed out for sure, but that's my view on it

And yeah it's crazy how dead simple it is, BTC was amazing and the fact that it still commands so much of the market share speaks to its influence, so going with the philosophy of if it aint broke, don't fix it; it makes sense to have pretty much the exact same for the next iteration.

Honestly the point worth making is moreso that ETH is worthy of the flippening and pretty much always has; but the disconnect between it being a currency, and its intended use as a global code network - kind of crippled its function for a while. 0xBTC is a really simple yet stupid effective solution to the problem, or at least the best I've seen. If there's a better way to implement Bitcoin on Ethereum than this, I'd gladly shill for that instead and I hope it happens before this gains too much traction. But for now it's pretty fucking awesome as it is.
