I'm not talking about becoming a billionaire, but becoming (super) wealthy.
Let's say you're well educated, work in science/tech/business, don't live in a third world country, don't have debt, your iq is higher than average and you havean extreme motivation and drive to learn and succeed?

What are some examples of people who succeeded later in life (but weren't prodigies)?

Are you making it? I was in the same position, depressed for a long time and now I'm better but I feel I've wasted years of my life since in order to make it in this system you need to be laser focused since like 16.

I've been in crypto for a year now but I fell for the hodl meme and didn't make much gains. Since it takes years to learn trading, I'm afraid I'm already too late

>Get an MBA from a highly ranked school
>Work in small but growing companies (20m-100m)
>Earn 150k - 250k depending on years of experience
>Have equity in growing company
>Grow company for 3-5 years and Private Equity buys it
>Equity worth 300k - 1m (depending on position)
>Repeat

This is pretty common and will set you up very well.

It's not easy at all. Getting accepted at a good B school is hard. Working at a growing company is very hard and you will work a LOT of hours if you're growing fast. It takes a certain kind of person.

Yeah I had this as well. I'm not sure about your circumstances but you can't ask people whether they "think you can do it". You'll basically get "No you can't you failed xxx before remember", either because they genuinely don't believe in you or from sheer jealousy and they want to drag you down. Spending less time on this shithole is a good idea aswell

Yeah, those were my thoughts as well. I usually come here for the memes and ocassional rare good insight.

Generally, I suppose the saying that you habe to forget about everybody else and do your own thing is true, eventhough it's almost a meme now.
I need to measure my success according to my inner goals, not external levels of success. We are all bound by our circumstances.

I've been able to pick myself up after a financially devastating divorce. My NW went from $70k to $256K in a little less than 3 years. And they're all liquid investments (i.e. not locked up in a house or other property). In 6-10 years I'll be a millionaire. If crypto rebounds, I'll be there even sooner.

Not exactly true. I'm not talking about retarded daytrading and excessive buying and selling. I'm talkig about implementing a tested and tweaked trading strategy/mechanism which you can stick to, as well as TA/FA. And of course, some luck.

It takes literal years to gain the proficiency in trading to quit your day job. By the way, holding a bag doesn't constitute "experience". This is why crypto is such a trap for noobs, it's the stock market with x20 volatility, essentially gambling. You need to make hundreds of trades to be able to make a living actively trading, If you hold a position that is down more than 10% you are an emotional and weak trader. You are not ready yet. That kind of mindset will get you evicted your 2nd month when you quit your day job. If you don't know how to take a loss you're literally a first day trader

I find it's much better just to buy btc, bitcoin cash and eth and then just wait. Don't even look at the price. Once you get enough it makes you go insane due to stress. Instead just focus on advancing academically/career wise

>> No.10029704

I'm 28 going to be 29 and I'm just getting my shit together.

Paid off all my credit card debt, have a couple thousand in crypto, and got a modest job with some opportunities for advancement.

I'm going to start a business by the time I'm 30, and I hope to have profits from an aggressive trading strategy in crypto to pay for it.

I was involved with a heroin addict basically for the entirety of my 20's. It sucks but that shit taught me some dark lessons.

Get going man, theres still time.

I agree completely with you. Couple of answers ago that was exactly my question. I dont want to quit my job to be a daytrader, but would like to have an additional 5-6k/week. I know that it takes years to become proficient, and I'm afraid that crypto will be much more mature in that time period, thus erasing possibilities for retail traders to be profitable.
