How many countries today can say "The USA is our biggest trading partner?"
I assume Canada and Mexico can say this. Who else?

the UK (as long as we're not counting the EU as a whole as a trading partner)

It's a discussion because more countries biggest trading partner used to be USA. Now less countriess can say this. For a lot of countries China has become the biggest trading partner. It's an indication of the health of the USA economy. As long as big economies such as Germany and UK do most trading with USA things will remain the way they have been for a long time. But when the biggest trading partner of Germany or UK becomes China or Russia than things will change.
