You're saying it will never be a stable coin but in order for the pools to work efficiently as possible it needs to be stable otherwise people would start training in and out of the pools at a high rate to profit from commissions in addition to xrp price. It needs to be stable in order to transact assets. If xrp is unstable and the asset you are trading it with is also unstable it'll turn into a casino. Also volatility works both ways as you may not want to hold your liquidity in the AMM if there's a huge price swing in xrp. You'd only hold it in the AMM if it were stable.

"staking" is a bad way to phrase it- staking is what you do with cardano. this is providing liquidity, helping to provide infrastructure for regulated defi. the reward and risk will depend on international forex markets as well as the amount each pool gets used

if you have $1000 and you want to stake in the Palau-XRP-Yuan pool, which is $1 million total, then you could get 1/10 of 1% of all the fees (but would be subject to potentially higher volatility). it would be a small pool.
but if you want to get in the UAE dirham-XRP-Yuan pool right when the UAE starts settling natural gas trades with china, it might be a 100 billion dollar pool. so your $1000 would get proportionally a lot smaller amount of fees- but if the amount of fees generated is much larger, and the volatility lower, it might end up paying off better.

Some love it - some hate it.

I have been holding this coin for about 7 years now. I have always known that it was made for greatness. My XRP holding always oscillated between 90 and 60%. I am a believer.

Fortunately I diversified somewhat and was able to make some gains with other tokens. I understood that, to be able to wait for the rewards, i had to be able to sit tight. For that I needed to have other tokens to make it through the desert. This is not a sprint. It is a marathon.

However in 2024 something changed. I felt my confidence was slightly eroding. My XRP position came down to 25% !! On one side I made good gains on other tokens. On the other side because I decided to swap some XRP for other newer projects.

I am sure this new projects will (and have already) shined. However, I would not descard older projects like XRP. It is still my belief that XRP will play a major role in the Digital Financial System. Some say: "Not today ! Not in this bull market ! Further down the road, in 2030 !".

I say: "Really ??" - Chart says otherwise !!!

If you think way too much then you would know that XRP's market cap vs supply is something that originates from traditional finance that has seeped into the crypto market.

It doesn't take into account many factors. Valhil Capital just released a white paper in the past year if Xrp has an adoption rate of 2% a year.. the price will be $9000 in 10 years. That's not even over exaggeration, simply 2% a year of the world's hundreds of trillions moving into Xrp.

So market cap vs supply is pointless. That's old finance vs new technological advances in money exchange.

We're not even talking about Xrpl yet & bridge currency. Xrp can have all the money running through it in the world.
