early idk, i joined biz at the beginning of summer 2017 and from what i remember it was more or less like now, just a couple of month before the bullrun : pajeet coins of the week and some stuff randomly mooning.
The difference being that there weren't any brainlet and onions wojaks, no bobos / mumu, pink wojaks were rare. A simplier time with simplier memes.
And the most memed coins at the time were Dash, Ark, Beans ...
Oh and binance was new in town, making an account was piss easy and no id for it was the norm.

i first came here in 2017 because seeing the entire catalog filled with pink wojaks was the most exciting thing on 4chan since trump won in 2016. its funny i spent all of 2017 to 2020 browsing here occasionally just to see if the market would crash and pink wojaks would flood the board again, and i never bought anything that whole time. now my entire net worth is 100 LINK and i have become the pink wojak, its come full circle

me too, biz during crashes is best, although to be fair, the crash from Jan 2018 onwards was a slow death. I was new and still in disbelief, thinking it would all go back up. by march it was clear this wasn't the case & I stopped looking at my portfolio & left biz. it's the only time I've stopped coming here ,- came back after a few weeks cause, yknow, & 1st post I saw was some anon saying how comfy the last few weeks have been - immediately felt regret, liked I'd missed out on everything, and haven't left since. in the process sold all my shitcoins into link & was all in by summer 2018, with a 6 fig stack somehow. if only I'd been paying proper attention I could have had so much more

it was a simpler time. glad you guys also stuck around through it. late 2018/early 2019 was the hardest for me. with crypto making no indication of recovery and the board at a standstill it felt like we were really fucked. threads would stay up for days with almost no bumps.
