Me, last night, messaging Roger Ver about a job while I was on Ambien and grain alcohol.

What have you done in the past to wake up the next morning and just cringe at what you did the night before.

It may be based but I cringed reading it the morning after. I know no blockchain salaries outside of management or development could match my current salary, but if it could I'd literally jump ship and work for a blockchain development team tomorrow.

I love Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash and want to be doing something I'm passionate about with my life like he is. As great as my life is, I don't feel a sense of accomplishment leading the crews that fixing these massive machines. What I care the most about is blockchain adoption, but I need to stay where the money is.

I have a hard time believing you were on Ambien (and drunk) but if so, congrats, zonked out writing is usually a lot sloppier than that.

In any case, if you had a realization that you wanted to do something else with your life, go for it, nothing is stopping you. I doubt contacting Roger Ver will help you any, but you can probably make a career in this field nonetheless.

I learned to solve a rubiks cube at age 11.
I completed the Navy Nuclear training program at the top of my class, by far, one of the most intellectually challenging courses I could possibly imagine. That's why we are highly desired candidates. There's not much we can't do or learn to adapt to after taking that course.

I'm not trying to sound conseated. I just know that I either am proficient at something or have the ability to become proficient at it. Nothing in life has shown me otherwise. No task that, given enough time, effort, and dedication has not been achieved. I don't think many people can say that. I'm thinking about applying to MIT Sloan just to say that I did it.

I was absolutely blitzed. Almost had no recollection of sending that message. When drunk, I still proofread and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Those two errors I see right off the bat in what I sent him is proof enough that I was absolutely gone.

Yes, I think like this.

I took a C class once and made a snake game with 0's. That's it.

I learned how to operate and maintain nuclear submarines in 12 months.

I can learn programming in 12 months.

m8, I think your ego is a big too high. I can learn a lot of shit in 12 months, too. pretty sure 15 y.o. kid could learn to make programs if he has enough interest and/or a motivator.
that doesn't mean you'll be prepared to start programming right away, and when you tell someone to hire you because you can do something, it's assumed you'll learn in little time (1 month or so) and start doing useful, practical shit.

Honestly, the job I probably be best for would be managing development progress. Going to meeting, what went right, what could have gone better, blah blah blah type of shit. I'm in a mangerial position now where I instructed others what to do and I would probably struggle to do their indifivual jobs, but I lead and utilize everyone s talents appropriately to complete the mission. It's good shit

They all do. You should go to a blockchain con. Some of scummiest slimeballs you would expect to see running a casting couch website were making millions with ico's last year. You would stand out. You would be the jacko willink of crypto and could become a pseudo celebrity if you wanted.

Roger doesn't hire technical people, only shills, marketing agencies and people with vague business skills. If anything he dislikes developers, their fancy book learning make him feel inadequate because he couldn't even code a simple hello world.

How often I hear this from janitors and others who couldn't make it.
I'm a team leader, and while you lazy dumb apes think we just sit in offices we actually have to go to every fucking job site around the country to ensure you D-grade workers somehow don't fuck up the simplest orders and jobs. Hell I've done more manual labour to show you bottom rankers how it's fucking done. Hell once we had a dig site and I had to teach some fresh outta school retard how to effectively use a God damn shovel. The stress from being surrounded with simple retards is almost not worth the pay. Lots of overtime and almost no days off because we can't sit down for a minute before you peasants fuck something up.

I'm a lead developer, so I do indeed "manage", but it doesn't involve meme-tier bullshit like going to meetings to discuss what we could have done better and other non-work, it involves communicating with the CEO, making technical decisions and delegating/assisting pajeets to make it happen

""""career managers"""" are a severe overhead to productivity; self-governed teams are just better; too bad boomer culture still prevails in many companies
