Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

I like the AMD call idea but you timed it wrong senpai.

AMD is going to flounder till a bit after Q2 earnings then shoot up. There's also the possibility of a huge market destabilizing correction this summer which everyone seems to be better on. (Aug VIX 28 calls are up 20%+ this week). Waiting wouldve gotten you better value.

>> No.9977924

Also.

Just because I don't study how options trading works doesn't mean I can't use it to make money. The market value of the call is already set. I bought it at market value on a down day, that's all. When AMD goes up, I will make money. It's that simple.

Greek values and stuff would be a waste of my processing power and I'm pretty sure I already intuitively understood all of the time related factors without needing such calculators or guides.

The OTM tsla call worked out fine. So this AMD one should be fine.

You realize that most platforms literally draw the curves on option plays for you so you can see what your likelyhood of profit is by expiration. You are sitting on options more than one standard deviation from normal volatility, so you have an less than a 15 percent chance your options will be in the money at expiration. Untill they become in the money they will slowly decay to be worth nothing every day.

This is just math bullshit. If I'm betting on AMD 40, then AMD 22 calls are weak. You are explaining something intutive, that 22 calls become worthless the less likely they are to be below the price of AMD.

Something tells me it's exactly how I intuitively understood but greek shit is for low IQ people who don't just get it.

Anyway, I will post the options once I execute them all, right now I only did 1/3rd of my calculated total.

>> No.9978076

"normal volatility" is a historical measure. AMD, a shit company historically, just hit technological gold. Black-Scholes is not a predictor of the future. If you think your intuition will beat a random walk, it's not bad to bet as long as you only risk a tolerable amount. The odds are stacked though. AMD guy should go into it knowing that.

Spent the month fucking around with different types of spreads/strategies to understand how options work more in-depth.

Just want to verify if what I did is remotely sound mathematically (if it's a good idea is up to debate).

Sell 3 GPRO 5.5 put at 0.07 each
Buy 3 GPRO 6.5 put at 0.34 each
Buy 3 GPRO 7.0 put at 0.61 each
Buy 3 GPRO 6.5 call at 0.54 each
Buy 3 GPRO 7.0 call at 0.31 each
Sell 3 GPRO 8.0 call at 0.08 each

Both buy puts place me at $285
Both buy calls place me at $255
Both sells place me at -$45
So my premium paid is $495

If GPRO never moves from 6.75 I will earn $150 combined from both 6.50 put and 7.00 call for a max loss of $345.

In return if I close my position .85 or further in either direction I'm in the green and infinitely so as it goes up/down.

trap has an implication of trickery about it. it justifies the violence that does happen to trans people under the guise of 'i didnt know they were trans and freaked out when i found out!'

the bar may have been lowered but it's completely symbolic. living as a trans person you are alienated, ostracized, constantly sexualized and violated. and just straight up blatantly verbally degraded on a daily basis.

i work service work. cleaning windows, doing gutters and moss removal, etc. and the amount of shit i get simply for not being masculine enough is tough to bare.

>>9979289
see what i mean tho? 'actually a girl and not a trap'

so most people who use the term trap use it interchangeably with the term trans. the crux of that is that they dont consider us even people. let alone our identities legitimate.

- Electric vehicle force multiplier - Automatic Driving can lead to 24/7 utilization, aka taxi can operate at all times
- Lower cost of taxi service due to automation means more take taxis

The effect of EV on gas prices isn't factoring in properly. As more people realize this, which slowly spread and becomes more predictable (closer) people will increasingly value oil less.

It will be like a tipping point. ez, I don't think it happens next week but I think the people who think about oil a lot will not want to protect reserves and instead want to pump as much as possible to get whatever $$ they can from it.

Fuck gonna have to look that up, but your hypothesis synchs nicely up with the 'liberalization' and 'modernization' under MBS, letting women drive and talk of privatizing Aramco would seem to confirm they're running outta money.

>I remember reading a Bloomberg opinion column where it said that the compromise is to liberalize socially so that they don't have to liberalize politically
its hard to tell what this new king is up to. saudis play their cards close. frankly, i think hes just trying to play a little more above the belt than many of his predecessors and try to expand more of KSA to try and open up more opportunites to gain financially off of participating in the global economy (hence ARAMCO IPO). same kind of thing you see kim doing in norkland, he cant play bad guy forever.

how it is now, they basically export oil and thats it. they produce NOTHING, and have to import EVERYTHING to keep their people alive and happy. not to mention over half the pop is on essentially "welfare". those guys had the worst spending habits. and with oil as low as it was, and a costly war (since they import the command staff/mercs too) w the houthis, i think salaman knows better than to think he can get away w what his retarded, inbred cousins did (also why he seems more competent. they spread out the gene pool a little further for him lol).

but in regards to liberalize politically?
hes already done so. he essentially became king by cutting several of them in line (he is the OG al-sauds nephew. the rest were all brothers), and then once he had his plan set, he arrested like half his family. cue QLARP (brought to you by saudi funded US media like fox news) psyop to distract everyone from this happening.

but you dont have t do much to liberalize a monarchy

ok, so you know how elon is like the fucking golden boy for the media? they LUV sucking his cock.

well that first crash was caused by a credit downgrade, which caused his bonds to get dumped. TSLA needs bondholders more than stockholders. this spiraled off into that first crash. then came ER. he did all that silly shit, bitched out an analyst, and the media TURNED on him (never seen that happen, so i assume it was planned).

note: im just using this one as an example as i remember it well

now his stock is down and at unnaturally high volatility. so what he does is take ALL his money, and write naked puts with it (the high vega makes for even better premiums). retail bears see all these puts, all the FUD and buy them. then all elon has to do is get his buddies to hold, or squeeze the shortsellers up above the strike of his puts (which expire worthless and JUST the fug outta the idiots who bought options at historically high IV), and BOOM 100% trade.

hes done it a lot. afterwards, hes been buying a shit ton of his own stock as buybacks to keep the sahreholders happy. bondholders are a diff story, but soros just bought a couple billion, so that should stave it off for another quarter or so.

but i gotta hand it to him, he really goes the extra mile for his shareholders. its out of desperation, but seems to be out of genuine kindness

not everyone is gonna get it. its admittedly pretty far-out, especially since a lot of people never even knew it could happen. maybe theyre bigoted asshole mysoginistic (insert more buzzwords) creeps, or maybe its just too far out of their box to even rationalize it. it doesnt make them a necessarily TERRIBLE human, just one that is uncomfortable with something so "new" (new from their perception) to them. sometimes all it takes is a little time. but to the unprepared, its VERY confusing. ive met traps irl that dont even know wtf theyre doing.

the thing a lot of people cant comprehend is how/why anyone would do it to themselves (its obviously NOT for fun or attention seeing how most prefer to go stealth to avoid the bullshit). the reason they cant understand it is, like i said, because of most of the activists having TERRIBLE optics. trying to include everyone in a very small minorities personal struggle is not only ineffective, its also detrimental to actually helpin any of ya. so it becomes a soapbox for a bunch of people who either arent, or shouldnt be involved, and (given the times) allows some real obnoxious loudhorns to LARP that theyre some sort of civil rights savior. in reality, theyve often made the situation at lot worse by purposefully antagonizing the folks they should be trying to win over (or at least minimize conflict with)

idk, its fucking complicated and idk what to do about it. they say time heals all, but this needs some extra effort behind it, and a completely different tactic.

you can nuke your account (especially a small one) FAST even WITH knowledge of options by just trading them irresponsibly.

for the record: dont buy the 32 ones.

in fact how about a little experiment.
since ur so adamant about trading derivaties you dont understand. keep ur 23 calls (as you will not be able to get rid of them w out a big loss most likely) try buying one 17 call once IV calms down (ie way less than fucking 50). grab it on the way UP, and vol should go down. youll notice how vega affects the two calls differently while AMD starts moving up. the larger premium is combined w the 2.5x delta that those ones have, so while youre paying more, you will get aprox twice the return per contract per dollar move than you will with your 23 calls. at twice the price however. but in general, the calls that have higher premiums are the better ones (think of it like an insurance plan or something)

try higher delta ones. AMD is a cheap stock, so you arent going to get very many dollar moves in it (and not fast enough to really deal w all the greeks that are working against you now cuz of your poor purchase price).

for OTM, the ones i like are 30-40 delta. it will basically be like holding 30-40 of the stock (and it will increase as the underlying moves up), and similarly, you will have a 30-40% chance of succeeding.

just dont buy at high IV. youll be fucking yourself out of a shit ton of money, even if youre right. this is exceptionally lo IQ whether youre willing to admit it or not

also w the 17, since you are making less of a bullish call, it will require less time to get there. as such, you can buy closer expiry ones (like 3-6 months) at MUCH lower cost as you arent paying for all that time premium.

just dont trade contracts in the last month or so if theyre OTM, as theta decay becomes absolutely massive w those

>I expect them in the money soon though.
and im telling ya, this is a classic options noob mistake. it always takes longer than expected. and the people SELLING the calls have a vested interest in keeping them OTM most times

yea wait for it to turn and IV to fall, buy like 2-3 strikes out, let it go ITM a dollar or two, then rollout to the same deal with all your gains. if youre right and do it carefully paying attention to the greeks, you will have MASSIVE gains. what you did today is likely going to be less effective than just buying stock, and it adds unneeded risk. very lo IQ

ty. every idea ever is co-opted when attempted to be made tangible to primarily produce profit.

but i cant speak for anyone. I think in my experience though a lot of trans people generally just take hormones, and have no desire for surgery. growing up everything that raised me would adjust me when i wasnt masculine, and the way the world perceived me as a child and growing up shaped my perception of myself. i always kept my hair long as a little kid, and would throw tantrums when my family got it cut. on a couple of occasions in grades one and two i wore my sisters dresses under my clothes to school. as i grew up it manifested in a lot of disassociation and shame and dysphoria with puberty was a bigg one.

ultimately i knew of trans people for a decent amount of my teen years, but with my exposure being through things like family guy or south park or whatever i never really understood what that meant either as a concept or to individual trans people. i never really made the connection.

but i dont know. i distinctly remember being a 6 year old crying in front of the mirror not understanding why i couldnt be a girl. and if anyone just went up to me and said 'hey, you can, go out there and be girl' thats all i would have needed to hear.

we have such weird ass gender norms that are so incredibly ridged in this society. most trans people's dysphoria isnt necessarily nested in their 'parts' but moreso their characteristics that we've defined as masculine or feminine. like, look at body hair.

as a kid i had no conception of transness. at all. however, if i were allowed to pursue my own interests unchecked i'd be there.

most people go stealth because its largely about relieving dysphoria. unease with ones sense of self. in some cases its about gaining gender euphoria too. but a big part of it for a lot of trans people is walking that line between out enough that you are comfortable and in enough that you arent exposed and paranoid.

nah just saying if there is something weird in the market right now it probably has more to do with trade disputes and tariffs than anything else.

Just guessing but if there is intervention it makes sense to do so to help the market stay higher during the sable rattling. I'd assume China is manipulating their market as well to keep it higher.

Weed is going to be dicey. Canopy and Aurora are due for a sell off and I'm concerned stuff that didn't follow them up that much might still follow them down. Basically overbought sector leader dumps, causes whole sector to sell off even if that makes no technical sense for the stocks that are nowhere near overbought. Same thing happened a few times late last year. The obvious choice is to watch Canopy for bearish movement and yoink everything or at least tighten up stop losses, however there is a second possible scenario.

Second scenario is the sector uh, i'll call it a relay baton pass maneuver. Sector leader dumps, people take profit out and throw said profit at the tickers with healthier RSIs. This scenario tends to catch shorts with their pants down and triggers a squeeze, big profits on underperformers of the initial run.

So I dunno. Gonna be rough waters tomorrow and probably a very retarded power hour to cap it for the weekend.

bond yields are down because big guys as well as a lot of retail have been buying treasuries. dont care about wat retail boomers do, but the tutes gapping it up every morning (even w the pissweak yields), while theyve been selling off the banks every night (and ditching the way nicer yields) is the part that confuses me. maybe it IS just tutes derisking for tradewar FUD, but something has them spooked, enough to be doing this rather obviously

I don't frequent these threads often so please pardon my stupidity, but from research and discussions with others, I get the impression that Tech especially in Silicon Valley is a bubble. My question is am I delusional? If I am correct, could someone present insight as to why and what the potential ramifications are?

>> No.9982641

>>9982353
Not delusional. Tech is probably in a bubble. The average tech company is not turning a profit and is heavily subsidized by venture capital money. If that money dries up (due to a lack of faith in the future of tech) the unprofitable companies will be forced to close, their workers will be laid off and products discontinued. Prices will rise as companies are forced into becoming profitable. Look at HMNY (Movie Pass) to see what it might look like.

The bubble could also burst if people realize that online advertising is not as valuable as they once thought. Google and Facebook (and many many other companies) make their money from ads so if ad money dries up, there will be serious problems at those companies.

Amazon in particular will be hurt if the tech bubble pops because of how much AWS helps their bottom line.

On the other hand, you can see a lot of success in Tech. Netflix and Uber seem to be providing a good service and will probably survive any bubble. Venture capitalists probably won't get tired of funding innovation and advertising seems to work. But it's hard to say. Tech valuations are getting absurdly high, one can't imagine it going much higher.
