BTCP was a stroke of genius.
>slowly accumulate coins from a dead project (ZCL)
>announce new Bitcoin "fork" called Bitcoin Private
>it copies the Bitcoin chain AND the ZCL chain
>brainlets assume it'll go to at least $250 because it has "Bitcoin" in it's name
>everyone rushes into ZCL to get "cheap" BTCP and x100s the dead project (2 to 200)
>dump on these fools and acquire ez gainz
>release BTCP
>it's literally just ZCL with a different UI
>starts at 60, quickly dumps to 20 (15 now)
>bagholders get left with a 75% loss
>enjoy the easy x100

GT Advanced technologies. They made sapphire furnaces primarily, and were going after the mobile phone manufacturing industry to sell synthetic sapphire for smartphone screens. They made a deal with Apple in late 2013. Market cap was around $2.8 billion July 2014, I can't remember or easily find a chart before then to figure out if it ever exceeded $2.8 billion but it was always a volatile stock and the Apple deal rumors had sent it soaring. But apple strong arm'ed the negotiations, or so GTAT claimed, and basically probably had better lawyers and GTAT made a terrible deal. GTAT then blamed Apple. There is a thread somewhere out there that is like proto-biz of a bunch of people getting completely JUST'd. It's worth a read if you can find it. It's no Lehman, but it hit a lot of retail speculators hard I think.

Valeant was a massive pharmaceutical company that basically existed to purchase smaller pharma companies, slash their R&D divisions (the most costly part of pharma companies), and hike drug prices astronomically, then charge these insanely high prices through their own puppet pharmacies that charged insurance companies so consumers wouldn’t notice. But insurance companies noticed and brought formal complains.

The problem is plenty of stocks tank a good bit (20-40%) and then rebound. That's why this whole game is psychological. You're convinced it's going to rebound. Maybe you pull out and then it starts creeping back up, FOMO sets in, you buy back in. It drops another 10%, then another, then it's too late.

Yeah but that's shit trading. Stock goes down 40% it probably plowed through at least two support levels. Stop loss should have been set a tad below the first support level and, if tripped, you're supposed to wait in cash for statistically advantageous reentry or move on to some other thing that isn't freefalling off ATH.

DRXNE was/is some shitcoin that was initially airdropped to individuals at the rate of 1000 drxne/person and traded at roughly 750-1000 sats for a while. Total supply was ~75 million with most people owning only marginal amounts, since besides the airdropped quantities a few people had purchased otc directly from the dev

Then out of nowhere it was pumped from 750 sats to 130k sats on little volume (since there was little on the books at that time). Subsequently retraced the entire thing next hourly candle and continued to bleed all the way to 300 sats, after which 252 million coins were dumped (lol) bringing the price from 300 sats to 3. Most epic JUST i've seen firsthand in crypto

XIV was a fund that was essentially short volatility, which is tracked by an index called the VIX. The XIV fund was essentially holding a large short position in VIX futures contracts, and then selling shares of that "pool" of assets to investors. The prospectus basically said that if the VIX ever doubled in a 24-hr period the fund would essentially have to terminate since being short something that doubles wipes out your capital

of course, the VIX did indeed go on a crazy tear one day (more than doubling), but for whatever reason the XIV was only down like 14% during regular trading. Then, after hours, the VIX spiked even higher and funds like XIV essentially lost 100% as they were forced to cover their shorts at end of day at whatever the prevailing price was, which was skyrocketing due to the forced buyers just described. Anyone holding XIV essentially lost 100% overnight and there was nothing they could do about it if they didnt dump their shit before market close that day.

This was ZCL leading up to the BTCP airdrop. In the late hours before the snapshot Bittrex posted to Twitter that they would honor it, driving up the price to around 120. The wallets were locked for the snapshot, and moments after it took place, a single whale slapped the single biggest sell I have ever witnessed live on the book. Price dropped from 858k sats to 120k sats. I remember getting in 1 btc at around 160k sats as fast as I could and flipping it for 2 BTC just a few minutes later. Amazing trade.

how is this even possibru? Is it a group of people? There's only about 2000 billionaires on this planet: it's must be one of them or a few of them pooled together. wtf? maybe a bank or government?

South Africa is where 70% of it is produced.
It's not going too well down there. If goverment chimps out, supply could plummet.
Silver is being held down by a futures market and fake comex shenanigans.
Rhodium you could only buy through a fully backed deutsche bank etf or in solid form.
Deutsche bank ETF is trading 10% under spot price, so what is deutsche doing? They buy it up themselves and then sell their collateral (the real rhodium) and pocket the difference.
So this stash of Rhodium is the biggest above ground supply in the world and it is dwindeling. (Only 100 million dollar worth or something)
Soon the buffer between supply and demand will be gone.
Its not very liquid but this has a high chance of going x4 or something.
I recommend solid over deutsche ETF, db could go Lehman.

How is this even possibru? Is this a group of people? There's about 2000 billionaires on Earth. It must be at least one or several billionaires pooled together—maybe it's a bank, a type of fund, or a government. What's the deal?
