I first heard about Skycoin around june last year from Yan, Yan and Li have been in the blockchain industry for a while. I heard them say the guy behind Skycoin is one of the original Bitcoin devs, also this coin was quite popular on bitcoin talk, Li herself had invested at least a million yuan (50k usd), so I also wanted to invest.

A couple of friends and I rounded up a million yuan, and got Li to buy 100k coins from Brandon. Because I didn't want to be responsible for keeping my share, I gave them to Li, she has a "standalone wallet" [i think he means a cold or hardware wallet here] in her place. We split the coins into different wallets and were each given a private key.

On june 12th, Li's coworker and another Skycoin investor called Jesse went to Brandon, ask if it was possible to lock other people's wallets. Brandon answered that he himself had told Steve to track down Sam's wallet address, and then froze everyone's wallets.

At one point he needed to inform one of the other devs before he could unfreeze the wallets, so he sent that person some messages from the computer. During the entire process he was free to use the computers to send any messages and speak to the outside world, no one was keeping him from that.

Brandon and Sarah have already left China, I don't know why exactly they left. Li's team left the Skycoin community, so Li passed a bunch of wechat groups she was admin of onto Sarah. As I see it, as soon as she got a hold of these groups, Sarah and Brandon immediately started to spill a bunch of lies about us, muddying Li's name and just being overall pieces of shit.

To an extent. But c'mon, we all warned them for a long, long time. Sky wasn't a kinda hilarious scam, it was just a sad and pathetic one. That whole shady shit about pay 1 Btc for a skyminer, and getting reimbursed in Sky was an obvious scam.

What I found most disappointing is that it was a great concept I thought (well, the basic idea anyway) - I kept checking back in to see if there was any reason to buy in. Nope. Glad I stayed out.
