What are the merits of this token? After the bug discovery which ICON is trying to write off as "minor" I'm about ready to sell my small collection of 4000 ICX.

The bug isn't minor and has the possibility to cause real pains in transferring tokens during the upcoming swap. If you're holding onto this coin through this shit-show, why? What is ICON doing that is so revolutionary? How are they unique and what actual partnerships do they have than some vague promotion deals and shadowy "financial partners" who are probably just auditing and running a few tests along with other blockchain projects.

Do you genuinely believe this crypto will be successful? If so, why? What do you see the price reaching for next bull run?

I wanted to believe in this crypto but after the recent events of the past few months, I have to admit it's the one token in my portfolio that I actually have lost almost all confidence in due to the incompetency of the team in both meeting deadlines and in failure in communication. The discovery of the contract bug is close to the final nail in the coffin for me.

In for answers. I bought some of this shit.

>> No.9919171

Pretty telling that something worth so much had a retarded bug that shouldve been caught by unit tests. It makes you wonder what else wasnt caught if something this simple was missed. I unironically thought this shit was gonna be korean eth but its shown just to be hype so far and i wont be surprised if this shit becomes a dead shitcoin this time next year.

Feeling comfy knowing that 50% of Vechains dev budget was put into testing desu

Oh and already mentioned but also the fact that deadlines keep getting missed and pushed back makes this coin shittier to hold than it already is. If i were you idk if id cut your losses and sell now (depending on how much youve lost), or ride out to the next mega pump and dump then.

I would ride it up a bit since it seems like you bought the bottom the drop your bags for smth else. Theres lots of promising coins with mainnet releases in the very near future (iexec, nuls, ven, hpb) that are in better standing than ICX.

Not even larping pic related is the bug - it was a != instead of ==. I like to think that i give projects benefits of the doubt but what with tje deadlines, little partnership or future timeline action.. this shit was pretty much the last straw for me in terms of not trusting the project anymore.

the amateur bug last night was the final straw for me after months of bs and missed deadlines. The gook had the audacity to say hes not sorry today on reddit as well.

>> No.9919710

was already fixed. if you emotionally market dump your coins the second it gets any fud crypto is not for you.

they didnt fix anything retard it's a workaround not a permanent solution

Read the thread, this literally isn't one piece of fud. Its a long series of shit and this bug just happens to be the final nail. Theres a difference between emotional freak out dumping vs accepting that a coin isnt that special, and the team has proven their incompetence despite the massive budget

definitely dump it right now, if it ever goes on a run u can always rebuy it and pretend u knew what u were doing all along anyway.

What evidence makes you believe it'll ever go on a run again?

>> No.9920138

>>9919971
Wait, are you still holding your stack or going to dump it too?

Also, I've lost confidence in this team. I'm hoping South Korea unbans ICOs, or the swap happens, the ICO platform is live with staking and we get a little run up. If we can hit atleast $4 or so again I can finally dump my stack and get rid of this gook piece of shit. Been holding since December.

It's just too well-connected within Korea to die anytime soon.

i dont have any evidence, I dont need to convince you to buy or hold icx, this is not chainlink.
I am saying that I bet with my own portfolio that it will do well, you do with your money whatever you like.

>> No.9920177

>>9920138
I plan to hold it for another 6 months, unlike many others im very happy with their developments, mainnet and mobile wallets look and function great, transfers are instant and fees low and capped. Who gives a fuck about 1 wrong letter in a erc20 contract that becomes obsolete with swap

>> No.9920179

So buy or dump?

>> No.9920197

Yeah I don't see it dying anytime soon. Ethereum had the DAO hack fiasco and it recovered obviously. People get too emotional too fast. They def need to work on some shit, but we are early still and there seem to be some groundwork with industry and gov't connections. I'm not selling and I got 100k

in all seriousness dudes, ICX is not for you if you dont plan to hold it for a while, it wont make any fireworks, there wont be announcements of announcements, im unironically in it for the tech, I see it going up slowly but steadily and surviving the crypto apocalypse, its against all odds my "stable" coin

>> No.9920289

I completely agree. I sold after this bug and am never looking back. ICX destroyed my portfolio and ruined my life.

Literally, what fucking tech? There is NO tech right now.

Literally the only reason to hold icon. Koreans only deal with koreans and Dayli is too deep with a lot of big players in Korea to not have at least a little.

kek same here

>> No.9920358

I literally have NO idea why someone would choose to hold ICX over VEN. The market caps are not far apart. And VeChain is better in literally every facet. Their code has been professionally audited for months. And there's none of this 6 months without communication bullshit (see: ICX). They release a medium update nearly every day.

It's called I-CON for a reason

perhaps their own blockchain tech, aka mainnet that has been in use for a while now? That I personally use

december fag here:

does this bug has any affect to the iconex wallet swap? do i need to have some eth for the gas in my iconex wallet for the swap, or does this only affect iconex to another erc20 wallet?

Compare and contrast partnerships, levels of industry and government connections, and you will have our answer.

ICX is an extremely safe pick with high upside relative to its risk level- what competition does ICON have within Korea?

Same here actually, ICX forms the stable foundation of my portfolio to balance out some of my higher risk alt positions.

The upside relative to risk is pretty much the best in the crypto space imo- speaking conservatively this coin will certainly be in the top 10 by market cap by EOY.

>> No.9920979

I got shilled ICX in December because "the mainnet will pump."

It didn't. They didn't launch anything in December and it dumped. I knew this was another /biz/ shitcoin right there. I sold in February for a 4x, and never looked back. If you're still in this shitcoin you're literally retarded

>> No.9920996

Missed icx ico but wanted to narketbuy icon thinking itqould be koreas eth. Then i found aergo.
