hey guys
I'm making a computer repair website and business. I'm planning to offer software keys (buying off reddit and other sites).
What if I also offered bootleg software? Just torrent games, operating systems, and other stuff and charge it as a service. Could I realistically get into any trouble? Doubt anyone could give a fuck but might as well ask for your guys' advice to be sure.

if you're small enough don't worry, if you become big enuogh to incorporate just don't do it! work under the table and place ads on craigslist otherwise they catch up to you Better Business Bureau and shit like that might get you if don't stay off the radar

No, impossible for people to find out. Do it.

Not worth it. You'll end up with a bunch of pissed off customers who can't get updates, who are getting popups to register when an update slips through, etc. I used to do stuff like this when I was younger on a smaller scale, and it was a major pain in the ass.

Tell me you're not serious. The SPA & BSA would be up your ass in a hot minute.

Yes microsoft took a friend to court and he was fined £10,000 for selling 10 used windows 7 licence/keys off scrap computers, which is against the terms of a windows licence. BUT he is back in business charging £10 postage for a free used windows 10 key...
At the time he was a full time student. But had a website offering used software and used hardware for sale.

worked in finance for a major sw company until I was laid off in structuring. We budgeted 10% of sales to leakage which was millions but the fucked up part is they dont care if they lose money chasing down small time stuff. They do lose more than they prevent but we account for it net together meaning they have budget of millions of dollars just for chasing mostly college kids
So yeah go for it that sounds like a good /biz/

i can already hear peoples ask you to get them fallout 4 and fallout new vegas for 14$. But will you be that greedy tho there is plenty of way to make busness in finance. Just with enough backing you can make more.
