I'm a lazy math major who's never really had the motivation to get a job because my dad has been throwing money at me all my life. I want to become independent and start saving more (I only have 7k in my savings account). What are some relatively easy ways to make money if I am that doesn't involve a full time job? I assume finance just involves stochastic calculus and probability

If you know how to program, I doubt demand for quants has decreased substantially, but too lazy to google that up.

I wish I was good at math, I feel like my impostor syndrome / ineptitude toward mathematics basically ruined my development.

Anyway, if I were you I would just throw up a good linkedin/github with some stats projects in R / data science stuff. Take some online courses in data science/visualization and look for a foot in somewhere, internship would be great since you don't exactly need the money. With a little bit of effort you will get a stats/data science job and command a high salary.

Thanks but I was more looking for something I could do while enrolled in school, i.e. a part time job or freelance crap.

Yeah I plan on looking for internships next semester. I think most people think they're bad at math because they think it's not intuitive (which it can be sometimes) and much more complicated than it really is. Or they get scared off by notation or something. Everything up to Calculus and Linear Algebra really isn't hard. I think it just depends on how you perceive the course and how you choose to study for it. So many people never actually open their math textbooks and when they do it's only to do practice problems. Don't be that person. Idk if you're still in school or not but just download some math textbook pdfs and read through them at your own pace.

I thought I was really bad at math, then I went to college and took remedial classes from great professors, worked my way though calc, linear algebra... Most of the concepts in math are simple, it's just taught in a way that is shitty and confusing for the average person. Blame the schools not math.

In my country average children are proficient in calculus, integration and vector math. This thread is ridiculous. I don't know where you people are posting from but your education system is fucked.
