>NEW YORK, NY -- A job at the investment bank Goldman Sachs is one of the most prized positions in the country. The company prides itself on attracting some of America's most talented professionals—ambitious, smart and highly motivated. Many people would probably be very surprised to discover that at least one undocumented Mexican immigrant was working shoulder to shoulder with the country's corporate elite.

>Former Goldman Sachs director Julissa Arce, 32, wants to change the way Americans think about immigration by sharing her story. And in her upcoming September 2016 memoir, "My (Underground) American Dream," she aims to describe her long and difficult journey from undocumented to documented, which took her from selling funnel cakes in Texas to Wall Street.

Friendly reminder that picking up a couple fast food restaurants is a great way to give your portfolio a little diversity. I wouldn't recommend QSR however MCD is solid and YUM shows potential for redeeming itself in the near future.
PLAY is a purchase based off my recent judgment of the unique situation that dave and busters is in; my city has been closing bowling lanes and arcades slowly over the last decade, while d&b continues to pick up customers for this reason. I believe this is a trend that will continue, however I don't believe there is massive upside potential just because of this little reason or anything; I still believe it's a good long term play.

DNKN I simply believe to be undervalued. There is still more space for expansion of this company, and I do believe they have the ability to steal customers from Starbucks. Time will tell how that goes. I'm betting my money that dunkin will see a higher value soon. But no guarantees, like PLAY. Or like any stock, really.

Point is, they don't seem to follow the market trend as much. Even in a dank recession, we still eat our amerikan fast food. It's a nice hold in uncertain times.

WILDCARD STOCK PICK:
MDXG.
Once a meme-of-the-week stock, this biotech baby is now a sorely misunderstood entity. A recent FDA guidance draft took a shit on the company because traders panicked and sold because FDA guidance related to your biotech company usually spells some doom.
However, this was not the case this time, but people are still wary of it. For some reason. When it was in the 6s a month and a half ago or so I was absolutely begging you guys to buy it, I think one or two people did, I hope they're happy about that. I'm going to CONTINUE to be daring and recommend people to buy in for the longer term. Look into what they do and their position in their field if you want to know why they will continue to be useful and successful.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents of the week.

I can't take issue with your math, that is indeed why many are here. However, there are larger issues which many here aren't seeing.
If you trade with RH you are effectively crippling yourself, as you can only trade for about half the market day, and even then only in one direction.
My point is that it's sort of like entering a bike race on foot, in order to duck the entry fee. Yeah, it's cheaper, but do you stand a chance?

I'm not lecturing anyone.
All I've pointed out is that many of the people "trading" here are using a platform which limits their access and participation.
Even if someone is "content with buying and selling 100 shares", why would they kneecap themselves this way?
Oh, that's right. To avoid $5 in commissions.
Brilliant.
Don't you realize that you'll lose far more from inability to access the market/settlement periods than you will from commission?
Sounds like you're the one skewed, priority-wise.

Let's do some simple math.
You buy $200 worth stock, pay $5 comission
A week later, stock went 5% which is pretty good. You sell your shares for $210, and pay another $5 commission. In the end you suck dick

>> No.979149

Let's do more simple math.
You buy $200 worth of stock, pay $0 commission.
Stock tanks after hours while you have no access to it through RH.
The next day it opens down 97%. In the end, you lose $194 (and suck dick).
Yeah, your way is better.
