Does your autism prevent you from investing in meme hype companies like FB, SBUX, NFLX, CMG, etc.? How do I overcome this?

Didn't realize SBUX was a meme company.

It's a brand nothing more. People will move on to another hype brand. Same with the others. FB is a joke. It's an internet stock. Will be like MySpace 5-10 years from now. NFLX is a meme too. Gonna be cheaper/free services doing the same thing. CMG is another meme. People gonna move on to some other hyped fast food shit hole. But they are making huge gains anyways and I can't seem to capitalize on this because I know they are shitty memes and doesn't fit in with my long term mentality.

I think internet stocks are the way to go. Not FB in particular, but actual internet services. That's how I'm investing and how I'm getting 120-200% growth per year, but that's just me.

Really? I'm invested in these stocks in my IRA (~$80K). I've always stayed away from internet stocks because they become "not cool" as fast as they risen in popularity. Most I chose because they are local and large cap.

My readings suggest Starbucks has a remarkably sustainable business model, and there's also significant outlook for growth.

Bottom line: It's not overpriced meme coffee that they specialize in selling, even though they do and are good at it. It's quality customer service and scalability.

>FB

FB may be a meme stock, but its business model addresses certain critical flaws that did in MySpace and it's definitely in for the long haul. Even if it ceases to be gold standard of social networking, its acquisitions suggest it's posed to be a big player in AI and data science, assuming it isn't already.

yeah that's rock solid tier. might as well just go with a managed index fund. that's not my area of expertise though.

my investment strategy revolves around wading through OTC securities. Much riskier if you don't know what you're doing. Pretty safe if you're familiar with the landscape.
