I wouldn't be shocked if it was some whale or hedge fund testing the market to see the exact reactions to selling or buying. if you noticed it pumped right after when the market didn't retract that heavily from the dump. In previous dumps though the market continues a slow bleed out for weeks then whom or what ever buys back in.
