Anyone else sick of holding ETH? I mean its like the worse coin in terms of gains past July 2017. It literally acts like a regular alt when it dumps but has less gains when it pumps.

Plus with hundreds of ICOs holding ETH and taking profits since they got them for free i really dont see how this could outperform BTC. Why should i continue holding this piece of shit instead of 100% BTC? They are both blue chips anyway.

See the alt dump and pump and dump in december to january. ETH dumped as hard as other alts and gained less then dumped as hard again. BTC acting as a ceiling for ETH minimizes its gains.

I've made so much money off ETH since I got into crypto last year February. I'll never get sick of holding this baby.

it's only used for ico scams, so why should it keep going up?

Can be said for any shitcoin, especially ripple. Hence i said past July 2017 when its satoshi price peaked.

Ever wonder why you call ripple holders deluded but in their eyes it made them a lot of gains. What im talking about is whats the point of holding ETH over BTC when it has the upside of BTC but the downside of alts.

See the recent dump back in april. ETH reached $380 while BTC stopped dumping at $6800

Get the new ETH

I get what you're saying and the downturn in sat value has pissed me off in the past. But I'm happy I went with mostly ETH instead of some of supposedly promising shitcoins like WAVES, DASH, or OMG back then.

>>9753186
But whats stopping you from converting back to BTC? I bought in before the EEA pump and made gains but failed to sell the top in satoshis.

Unless people stop giving money to ICOs i doubt ETH will reach 0.17 sats ever again. Even the december alt pump only made it pump to 0.12 sats.

Ffs people even gave ETH to UselessEthereumToken and FuckToken early on. Who has weaker hands than normies? ICOs that didnt put a cent in crypto but get the gains.

>muh gains
You realize that almost every shitcoin pumped right since January 2017. Even dogecoin would give you gains. If you bought ETH at July 2017 where the price peaked $420 you would only have 38% gains right now.

Using that excuse would literally place EOS at the top since it pumped extremely hard even in this bear market. When it was trading for cents in mid 2017 when Ethereum was at $300 to $400 already.

The question is, why do you faggots hold ETH over BTC when it acts almost like BTC during pumps and dumps as hard as alts when BTC dumps. Not to mention you are risking getting JUST'd if BTC has good news like an ETF approval or another free fork.

ETH is one of the few crypto's that will still be around in a few years.

>> No.9753441

>>9753270
The reality is, Bitcoin has no good news, it will always be a slow and expensive failure of a digital currency (b-but muh store of value!). On the other hand, Ethereum, despite its flaws, actually has a strongly-united developer ecosystem addressing them, including the backing of major global corporations.

tl;dr: Flippening is not a meme, but it's a slow process.

Wrong.
IOTA will take it's place.

The scary thing about ETH is the scaling and security. Most devs will jump ship to better blockchains in the end

Fair enough. Do you know who was interviewing Vitalik in that video?
I'm not saying that they maybe won't coexist, but the fact that an IOTA foundation member was interviewing him, who has ties to G20 and the UN, makes me pretttttttttttty fuckin sure of the end result here.

>>9753500
Correct, this is my analysis too. But Ethereum will moon first, IOTA will take some time to grow. The correct asnwer I think is to jump over to IOTA after Ethereum has peaked.

Ether is a great coin but i think 0xBTC is a better investment at the moment. It merges the best characteristics of Bitcoin and an ERC20 token. Please check out. I would be happy to dispel any potential FUD even though i am not even done accumulating yet.

Honestly man I think it already did. The ICO bubble mooned Eth.
Watch that video. All of it. Take it in.
How about the part where they talk about the carrot and the stick?
Making people adopt because it'll make them more money. Just saying....
IOTA will definitely take time, but I think TPTB have decided.

Crypto is completely irrational at this point, so ties to any organization don't necessarily mean anything. I think the correct course of action is to accumulate bags of both.

I have a hard time believing ETH won't break another ATH, considering all the dapps being built around it and the fact that there's little institutional money in this market.

>> No.9753724

>>9753598
Agreed. It is irrational.
You know what isn't irrational?
The way mainstream media has shilled BTC, ETH, XRP, and completely ignored IOTA.
I still don't think BTC or ETH is going anywhere soon, but if you want significant gains in the next year, IOTA is where to park your money...

I think you're missing the implication of Casper. What do you think will happen once all of those eth gets locked up and can't be traded anymore? I honestly think it will overtake all of ADA market caps once the winner of POS system has been decided (and I believe Ethereum will win here).

In all honesty, we are all here waiting for you. The second you sell, we release the Casper 1.0 code, Truebit launch news and initial Sharding code commits from Vitalik. The pump will be epic, but first, we need you to sell, anon. Take your time, if you have to.
