How long will this thread last?

Popular brokers for stock trading:

Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Is it worth investing if I can only afford to put maybe $1-2k a year into index funds?

I feel like I don't make enough to really have a handle on my finances, but then again I have used online calculators and if I invest $1k today, it will be worth like 20x the amount when I retire. That means it's definitely worth it, right?

To be honest, I've been in Medicine/Healthcare for 8 years, and when I was in school many people were arguing about phytoestrogens even then. I'll watchlist Dean but their stocks fell in 2017 for a reason. 27% decline in sales one quarter. Then continued to have declining sales revenue after that. Even last quarter they had decreased sales again. Though only by a little bit. Maybe they stabilize next quarter. Maybe they dont. If people are buying less and less milk and they're scaling back production to keep pace with demand-- then that's not a stock I really want to sit long on. I only spent 5 minutes doing research though. I'm on a boat on the pacific ocean with garbage internet.

I think the strongest buy in my portfolio right now is $MU. Semiconductors are on fire, and untouched by the trade war. I'm pulling out of most my oil stocks now too since I cant watch the news or trade whenever I want do to internet. Most my oil profits came from intraday or overnight swing trades and watching candles.

I'm currently playing the gap up on $AAOI and it's not too late to jump on with me and try to scalp +5% early this week. I'm making the same play on $DUK but it's a little late for a buy there unless you're actually long.
