The only project that I can think of that has its shit together like ARK is Stratis, but they are not competitors.

And these are the "good projects". Most of the others in top 100 are just overhyped whitepapers. ARK on the other hand is almost ready for prime time use. Pushbutton deployable blockchains will make ARK ubiquitous and normies won't even know they're using it. Sidechains solve the scaling problem. Smartbridges complement all of these perfectly. ARK is building an ecosystem that is very very developer friendly since you can program in 18 (EIGHTEEN) fucking languages. They don't call themselves the wordpress of blockchain for nothing.

If you want to see what real adoption of blockchain looks like, just wait for a few more months until ARK is ready.

nobody has any financial incentive to support cross-blockchain platforms. smart/institutional/fund money is in the platforms like ethereum. they wouldn't dilute ethereum by investing in something that aims to make it irrelevant.

more importantly, these cross-blockchain layers have an insurmountable task, because if you think they're going to win, it means you think that no platform itself is going to become dominant, yet something like polkadot would become dominant, which is a huge contradiction.
