point im making is that even in "low tier" areas such as languages you can make a decent living if you pursue quality and work smart. i know that 1000 euro is by no means a stretch but its double minimum salary in portugal and allowed me a nice standard of living in lisbon. inb4 its because of my language combination, a english to spanish translator was earning exactly what i earned. developers made about triple though.
