Did anybody go to college for CS and come out of college autistic? Realizing how deeply complex all of the electronics and gadgets we mindlessly consume on a daily basis gave me a greater appreciation for the field of science, and the people who dedicate their lives to research. I also became autistic, and find myself thinking deeply about how everything works, for no reason. I never used to think about how shit worked before but now I just find myself wondering about everything. Sometimes I can't just help but think about how compilers work and how they are able to process code. Is that weird?

Autism is a devlopment disorder. You have it from a very young age/birth, you don't fucking "develop" it retard.

You're a salty little faggot, aren't ya!
His post was introspective, retard.

yeah I’m a bit like you op. i think about shit like this so much that it’s counter productive. i need to learn to be able to accept things on a high-level view and move on.

As a toddler, I was driven to know *how* something worked. I wasn't satisfied with just knowing something worked when a button was pressed. I had to know the Rube Goldberg Machine-like connections from input[s] to output[s]. The first things which fascinated me were locks. The whole concept of a device holding a mechanical secret which only a specific-shaped piece of metal could activate was astounding. I had even went so far as to disassemble the front door's doorknob at age 2.

I had to take everything apart to at least *see* the guts. Though, my re-assembly skills never kicked in until I was 12, but yea.

There are so many layers of abstraction in modern computers, it can be stupifying.

4chan causes autism

>why?

Its the only forum where you read every shitty comment, not just the top voted post

>what does that mean?

Once in awhile you pick up ridiculous insight or interesting perspective that only doesnt get popular cause its off the standard

>so?

So you learn to respect things. Thats autism

Computer's aren't that complex. They are just simple shit build on top of simple shit built on top of simple shit. I'd recommend actually building a C program and looking at the assembly. Its actually not that complex as you think. As your program gets more complex, including UIs and such, those are just more and more libraries called. Most people now days deal with higher level languages, where just adding two numbers can execute like 1 million total instructions including the parsing of the line, the interpreter, etc. But these are just simplistic libraries linked together, it actually isn't that complex.

Another cs brainlet thinking he is so smart he can't relate to common folk because he took a little graph theory, intro to linear algebra, and some discrete math with his pajeet Java programming

What the fuck was the point of linear algebra i didnt learn anything in that class

I'm kind of the opposite. I used to have a serious intellectual drive and was always reading books and finding out how things worked. Then after I finished college and discovered trading, I basically developed ADD and can't focus on anything long enough because I'm spoiled by the instant feedback that trading provides. I'm not even that good at it, it's just hard to be patient and work on a personal project for weeks or months before knowing if it'll make you any money or not, when I can just open up a trade and see results immediately, free of any subjective judgment from bosses or clients. Trading made me some good money but it also ruined my enjoyment for things. I'll probably never get that back.

literally any numerical process on a computer will hinge on you understanding linear algebra so you can do stuff like image processing or "muh machine learning"

Pro tip
If you are in cs field or have a strong interest for it you already have autism. You didn't develop it, look around . There may only be 1 or 2 Chads for every 200 computer science nerds

did the same except with biology. if you think electronics are complex try delving into biological machines
